-- 9/27 Question of the Day Reax: Will your Smackdown viewing habits change when Smackdown moves to Syfy?

Tim Hampton, Torch reader: I will be watching Smackdown about the same, but I will be watching it on the same day. Right now, I have to watch the official YouTube version from WWE that they upload on Saturday because it is such a pain to get MyNetworkTV to even show up on my TV (and when it does, I get messed up video and audio). Being on Syfy will mean it shows up fine. I do wish WWE and Syfy would have put it on Thursday again, though.

Jeff, Torch reader: Will my Smackdown viewing habits change? Yes. I will finally be able to watch the show in HD, but other than that no. I will still be fast forwarding through 90 percent of the show, just in better picture quality.

Daniel of Arkansas: I don't have MyNet where I live so I haven't been able to watch Smackdown in a long time. I will start watching again now. Anything without Michael Cole is watchable. I have heard Smackdown has been good lately and look forward to catching up.

Travis Tubbs, Torch reader: The biggest problem with the move of Smackdown from MyNetworkTV to Syfy is an issue of availability. In some markets, cable operators require a digital set-top box in order to view Syfy. So those of us on analog cable are still left out of the loop on trying to catch Smackdown. Of course, Smackdown is offered through online streaming services (such as Hulu) a few days after it airs, so not all is lost. Which begs the question, even though Smackdown is still accessible, will I really be that interested in seeing it still?

Jerry D'Erasmo of Bronx, N.Y.: I have been a loyal WWE fan for 22 years. I have been more loyal to Monday Night Raw ever since its birth and I really haven't been too much of a Smackdown guy even when the show was stacked with Angle, The Rock, Lesnar, etc. I even became less of a Smackdown watcher with the brand split and separate titles for each show, which to this day I still loathe. Will my Smackdown viewing habits change? No. Will I watch the first LIVE show on Syfy? Yes. I will continue to watch Monday Night Raw regularly and I will only watch Smackdown when WWE realizes that serious changes need to be made on all facets of their company. I believe they need to unite the brands. I also believe ratings and viewership will increase if storylines are created with thought, passion, and heart, and the shows will prosper with storylines flowing from Raw over to Smackdown. Not only that, the shows will be forced to give us more wrestling and less filler. But, who am I kidding? I doubt this will be done.
