WWE Raw Reax #1: Edge vs. the laptop "too much," Conspiracy theories on former Raw GM the anonymous GM or even Dixie Carter?

-- 9/27 WWE Raw Reax

Elliott R, Atlanta Ga. (2.0) Best Match: Miz/Riley vs. Bryan/Morrison. Worst Match: Edge vs. a laptop. I turned it off early for the first time in over a year. The Edge vs. the computer bit was just too much.

Richard H. of Wilmington, Ohio: What a glorious waste of talent. Edge proved that he can have an entertaining Cutting Edge without an actual guest, while also having a brutal beat down with an inanimate object. I have not seen an inanimate object abused so badly since Flair extended his undefeated streak against his "Armani" jacket. Speaking of guys no longer with the company, why did they give Foley any props for his latest book - isn't he still with the competition? Oh, right, Vince doesn't consider them competition. ... And we thought the GM's ventriloquist act with dummy Michael Cole was bad. Wow, it was worse when the computer voice "debated" Edge. But that is okay because it gave away who the GM really is Alvin of the Chipmunks! No, seriously, I have a new possibility for the "anonymous GM." This person holds a grudge against Edge for past indiscretions. This person is known for making off the wall decisions and flip-flopping between face and heel. This person could be in fear for his/her safety since the last time he/she was Raw GM, the person ran away in fear when threatened, hence the supposed safety of anonymity. This person is...Vickie Guerrero! Why not? She makes about as much sense as anybody else I have seen trotted out there as the supposed GM. ... I did not rate any of the wrestling on Raw last night. And, since WWE management seems determined to devalue the wrestling content of the show to the extent that Edge is mocking it in an interview with an computer generated voice, why should the fans care about the matches?

Aaron E. of Wake Forest, N.C.: WWE has been doing a great job of keeping the lid tight on the identity of the Raw GM, but I think they gave away too much information Monday night when the GM said revealing the identity "would change everything." It is now obvious who is the speed-typer behind the computer - none other than TNA president Dixie Carter. Think about it. Only Carter would think the identity of yet another Raw GM would change everything. It's like they took it straight from her Twitter page. Both Carter and the GM have the tendency to distract from the talent in the ring and place the focus on themselves. Also, look at the booking from the computer. It throws together non-sensical matches with no hype. It reverses decisions when it feels like it. The early catchphrase teases weren't actually teasing other people, they were just part of Carter's love affair with repeating things from wrestling days past. The GM has to be Dixie Carter. It only makes sense. WWE mentioned Foley, Flair, Sting, and Nash on Raw. Why not just go all the way and have the owner of your "competition" be the GM of your show? I meant this as a joke, but honestly after the WWE references on TNA and the TNA name-drops on Raw, I'm half-expecting Shane McMahon to show up on TNA when Abyss reveals the identity of "them."
