KELLER'S RAW REPORT 10/21/02: Triple H screws Katie Vick's corpse, RVD headlines
Oct 22, 2007 - 2:59:11 PM

The following report was published as a VIP Email Express article five years ago this week. It marked the start of VIP Email Express service for PWTorch subscribers...

KELLER'S WWE RAW REPORT
OCTOBER 21, 2002
LIVE FROM NASHVILLE, TENN.

-Triple H and Ric Flair walked to the ring. Jim Ross said that Triple H would not still be World Champ without the help of Flair. Ross called Triple H's accusations that Kane is a murderer "ridiculous." He also plugged that Shawn Michaels would be interviewed later live from The World.

FlairRicArt_130GG_1.jpg
Ric Flair [artist Grant Gould (c) PWTorch]
-Triple H said, "I have a message for all the boys in he back, all the fans, all the writers that said I did not deserve to be handed the World Heavyweight Championship. I've just got one thing to say to you all - screw you! I had defeated every single person who has stepped in this ring with me." He then gloated about ending 23 years of Intercontinental Title history. "In this world, I am untouchable," he added. He said he is not only deserving of being champion, he might be the greatest of all time. He said beating Kane "was like one more nail in Katie Vick's coffin." He looked at Flair, wondered where Kane was, and said, "I hope he didn't get into a car accident and kill someone." He then said Kane might be late because he is ashamed of his tag partner Rob Van Dam who will be facing Flair and himself later. Ross acted surprised that that was the scheduled match. Shouldn't the announcer on Raw be at least as up to date on the matches scheduled for the show he announces as the fans who read the WWE.com website?

-Triple H said he had video that would change the way people look at Kane. Lawler seemed excited about the prospect of seeing a tape of Kane having sex. Hurricane charged the ring and attacked Flair, then took Triple H to the mat. He stole the videotape, but Triple H clotheslined him at ringside and got the tape back. Triple H promised to show the tape later, then stomped on Hurricane one last time.

-Okay, some hate this angle with Katie Vick no matter what. If you accept that they're doing it and not just going to drop it, the teasing of a salacious revealing videotape is a good hook to keep people tuned in to the show. Even many of those who don't like the angle are going to be curious where it's going at this point.

1 -- JEFF HARDY vs. CHRISTOPHER NOWINSKI

Hardy hit Nowinski with a nice flip dive over the top rope and the referee at ringside. Ross and lawler kept talking about Triple H. Ross said, "There's no semen in wrestling." Lawler finally acknowledged that he isn't sure he wants to see Kane have sex with anyone. Ross got in a rare Raw plug for Velocity and Confidential. He didn't give any specific reasons to watch, but instead just listed their timeslots. Nowinski looked really bad at 4:00 with two awkward bumps on basic punches by Hardy, then a weak swing into the ropes, and a really poor kick toward Hardy which Hardy grabbed as he held it in mid-air for him. Al Snow came out and yanked Nowinski out of the way of Hardy's swanton splash, so Hardy landed on a chair instead. Nowinski then made the winning cover.

-WINNER: Nowinski via pinfall at 5:58.

-STAR RATING: 3/4* -- Nowinski didn't look good at all in this one. Hardy got in a few nice moves and looked better than usual for him lately.

-Eric Bischoff was watching a replay of Big Show shoving him the night before at the PPV. Stacy walked into his dressing room. She asked if she could referee a match because she had such a good time last week. Bischoff told her any match other than the main event would be fine. "Knock yourself out," he said. Big Show then entered the room. Bischoff said no grudges, just water under the bridge. He then told him he wanted to give him a heads up on his match. He was facing Rico... (pause)... and Jamal and Rosie. Bischoff then smirked and laughed and said, "There's not a damn thing you can do about it." Big Show gave Bischoff a dirty look. "You just don't cross the boss, J.R.," said Lawler. Ross replied, "I guess not." Big Show is a full-fledged babyface at this point. It's going to take a lot to get him elevated to the point that he will be taken seriously as an opponent for Triple H, if that's where they're going with it.

[commercial break]

-Backstage Tommy Dreamer confronted Al Snow backstage about costing him his match against Nowinski last week. Snow said he was just looking out for his "kid," Nowinski, making sure he didn't get hurt. Dreamer said Snow would get hurt this week since they were fighting in a Singapore Cane match. Nowinski walked up to Snow and said, "Thanks, but no thanks." He said he didn't need his training and he doesn't need his interference. Ross called him arrogant.

-Before the next match Lance Storm and William Regal established their "new" gimmick. Storm said, "If I could be serious for a minute." He then acknowledged that the UnAmericans are "finished." He said he and William Regal are very much together because they agree that America is a zoo filled with crazed savages. They both held the respective country's flags. Regal said America is so bad people are now afraid to leave their own homes. Regal asked the fans when they'd realize that he knows what he is talking about when he badmouths America.

2 -- LANCE STORM & WILLIAM REGAL vs. BUBBA & SPIKE DUDLEY

-Ross pointed out that Bubba suffered a concussion two weeks earlier in the TLC match, but was now back. Lance Storm is now wearing short red trunks. Bubba was also wearing shorts in the usual camouflage colors. They showed a split screen of Kane arriving at the arena. After some four-way action, Spike scored a pin on Bubba. After the match, Regal punched Spike in the abdomen several times with brass knuckles.

-WINNERS: Spike & Bubba when Spike pinned Regal at 3:27.

-STAR RATING: *1/4 -- Just fine for a three minute match.

[commercial break]

-Christian & Chris Jericho met Trish in the hallway. Christian said he thinks the rumors of her sleeping her way to the top are true because she was willing to get down on her hands and knees and bark like a dog before. Jericho said he thinks the rumors he's heard that she wants him are true. She called Jericho delusional.

-Eric Bischoff walked onto the stage and said that while the Hell in the Cell match may have been gory and brutal, it is nothing compared to what he has in store for fans at Survivor Series. He said he was introducing the Elimination Chamber to show Stephanie McMahon what happens when someone tries to outpromote him. He looked super-serious if not solemn as he announced it.

[commercial break]

-Stacy Keibler came out in her referee outfit.

3 -- TEST vs. D-LO BROWN

-Stacy held the ropes open for Test as he entered the ring. Test looked at her as if it wasn't appropriate for her to do that. She then slapped D-Lo and Test laughed. As D-Lo turned to Stacy to ask what was up, Test attacked D-Lo from behind. Test is now wearing silver shorts, dropping the "Diesel look" (on orders from management). D-Lo powerbombed Test, but Stacy didn't make the count because she decided to turn her back and tie her shoe. D-Lo yelled at her, but when he turned around Test's boot met his face for the finish. Ross questioned the professionalism of Stacy. Stacy left the ring holding Test's arm and smiling at him. He smiled back.

-WINNER: Test via pinfall at 2:19.

-STAR RATING: * -- Fine for a two minute match. Well executed storyline. A creative way to link Stacy and Test. Nothing major, but better than just having them show up together one day. D-Lo is deserving of better than this, though.

-Terri interviewed Victoria backstage. As she complained, Goldust mocked her behind her back. Booker said if she's teaming with Jericho, he realizes you can't spell Jericho without the "H-O." He threw out a couple fighting words that rhymed, Goldust goosed her, and then they cut to commercial.

[commercial break]

-During ring intros for the next match, Ross called Victoria a "delusional crackpot who is obsessed with Trish's sex life. Ross also talked about all the news being made on Raw. He said he has no idea what Bischoff has in mind for Survivor Series. The good ratings for Raw Roulette gimmick likely prompted the gimmick match at Survivor Series.

[start of second hour]

4 -- TRISH STRATUS & GOLDUST & BOOKER T vs. VICTORIA & CHRISTIAN & CHRIS JERICHO

-Victoria and Trish began with their usual intense brawl for 45 seconds. Then Christian tagged in and cornered Trish. Trish slapped Christian, then ducked his clothesline, then crawled between h is legs to hot tag Booker. Booker dropped Christian with a wheel kick and some chops. Jericho tagged in and pummeled Booker T. Ross again plugged that Triple H claims to have footage of Kane having sex with Katie Vick. He said that is the last time he's even going to repeat that. Ross complained about Bischoff's use of Big Show. Lawler said maybe Bischoff doesn't think Big Show is entertaining. Ross was about to replay, and it seemed like he was about to say "he may not be far off" but before we could find out, Lawler stepped on Ross's line with another comment. Shoot. At 5:05 Booker hot-tagged Goldust who went to work on Jericho. When Victoria entered the ring, Goldust leaped butt-first into her face. Goldust then gave Jericho a bulldog off the top rope for a near fall. Trish tagged in at 5:55 and surprised Jericho with a crossbody block (not of Ricky Steamboat quality by any means) and scored a two count. Goldust then tagged in and set Jericho up in the corner with his legs spread. Before Goldust could kick him, Victoria entered the ring and distracted him. Goldust forced a kiss on her, then shoved her into Jericho in the corner. Chaos broke out with Booker and Jericho at ringside. Trish gave Jericho a huracanrana into mid-ring, but Jericho immediately clotheslined her in return and then made her tap to the Walls of Jericho.

-WINNERS: Jericho & Christian & Victoria via submission at 7:07.

-STAR RATING: *1/2 -- Best match of the night so far which is saying almost nothing. The storyline with the women and men interacting was well done for the most part.

-Triple H handed the director in the truck a videotape and told him not to air the tape until he tells him to.

[commercial break]

-Lawler was head cheerleader for showing the videotape. He argued that this is cable!

-Terri backstage said Kane is a friend of hers and she hopes to get comments from him after the tape airs.

-Coach asked Triple H why he wants to show the tape. Triple H said he wants to show the world what a sick freak Kane is. He said the tape is not for the squamish. They aired a viewers discretion notice.

-The screen said 10/09/92 at the bottom as they showed a wide shot of the funeral home and open casket. Triple H entered the room wearing a kane mask. He walked up to the casket and said, "Hello Katie. You look so good. You might look better dead than you did alive. You know, Katie, it didn't have to be like this. If you had just given me what I wanted. If you would have just let me touch you in that car. If you would have let me touch your beautiful breasts, I wouldn't have swerved and gone off the road and you would still alive. Yes you would!" He began responding to her as she was talking back at him. "It is your fault and you know it because I loved you, Katie. You didn't love me when I was alive because I was a freak." He continued to act as if she was talking to her. "What? Now that you're dead you say you want me? I've always wanted you, Katie. Look at you. I want you move than ever now in your cheerleader uniform. I used to watch you bounce up and down and those panties would show. If you want me and I want you then there's no reason that we shouldn't be together." They digitized the screen as he caressed her breasts. He looked around to be sure he was alone, then used both hands to cup her breasts. He said she feels kind of stiff. The crowd watching this on the big screen at Raw could be heard laughing. Triple H then said, "Speaking of stiff, maybe I should do what I've always wanted to do." He then took off his shirt. "I thought you'd never ask. I understand now you can't resist me. Maybe you should take off some clothes now Katie." He ripped off her bra. Then he reached up her skirt and took off her panties. He sniffed them and inhaled deeply. "I love the smell of formeldahyde in the morning." He then dropped his pants (the camera panned up). "I'm going to do what I always wanted and give you what you always wanted." He then got in the casket on top of her, lifted her legs in the air, and then the screen went blurry as he made sexual noises and uttered her name aloud. They went back to the casket and Triple H said, "I hope that was as good for you as it was for me." He then said, "I screwed your brains out." He reached toward her head and threw some goop toward the camera.

-Back live, Triple H laughed on Coach's shoulder. Triple H said, "What a sick freak!"

-Kane slammed the door shut when Terri attempted to enter.

-News Note: TSN in Canada was warned about the segment and cut away as the segment began and went to a very long commercial, then returned in time for the Snow vs. Dreamer match.

[commercial break]

5 -- AL SNOW vs. TOMMY DREAMER in a Singapore Cane match.

-In the end, Nowinski nailed Snow with a cane shot when Dreamer ducked out of the way. It seemed as if Nowinski has ample time to stop his swing, though. Dreamer looked upset with how he won and bent over to tend to the KO'd Snow who was flat out on his back.

-WINNER: Dreamer via pinfall at 2:19.

-STAR RATING: 1/2* -- Just a few cane shots, not really much of a match.

[commercial break]

6 -- BIG SHOW vs. ROSEY & JAMAL & RICO in a three-on-one match.

Show threw Rico face-first out of the ring. Rico did a somersault bump after sliding under the bottom rope. He then threw Rosey to ringside. He finally chokeslammed Jamal for the win.

-WINNER: Big Show at 2:51.

-STAR RATING: * -- Mostly Rico taking bumps for Big Show. If this was a way to send Jamal and Rosie a message for hurting Pat Patterson last week, it's a good thing. It also probably helped build up Big Show a little bit.

-They showed Shawn Michaels wheeling himself around a back hall in a wheel chair.

[commercial break]

-As Coach interviewed Big Show, Bischoff said, "You're traded. You've just wrestled your last match for Raw." Bischoff said he would be hearing from his attorney in the morning. Bischoff did announce who he got traded for.

-They showed Hurricane opening the trunk of Kane's rental car and then crossing his arms to wait for him.

-Highlights aired from SummerSlam of Triple H attacked Michaels with a sledge hammer. Ross said that attack put Michaels in a wheel chair.

-They interviewed Michaels live from The World. He said he is doing better now than a month ago, rehab is going well, but it's going slow. He said there are times he thinks of giving it up because he has nothing left to prove. He said the match he had with Triple H can also stand up for posterity. He said, though, that he wants to prove the impact that his son and wife have had on him, so quitting is not an option. He said Triple H may feel a sense of accomplishment for what he did, but he said "don't hunt what you can't kill." He vowed to get him somewhere down the line. He then said he would prove just how far he's come. He then lifted his legs out of the wheel chair and struggled to stand. Then he stood up real easily and revealed the whole wheelchair thing was a hoax. He enthusiastically told Triple H he better be looking over his shoulder from now on because each week on Raw might be the week he attacks him from all sides or from the roof. "HBK is coming back and somewhere down the line HBK is gonna getcha!"

[commercial break]

7 -- RIC FLAIR & TRIPLE H vs. KANE & ROB VAN DAM

-Kane attacked Triple H early in the match. Flair and Van Dam brawled in the ring. Van Dam took a nice bump from the ring into the security barrier at ringside. At 2:30 it settled into a normal tag match with Triple H vs. Van Dam. At 4:30 Triple H gave RVD a high knee. Kane interfered to stop the count. At 6:00 Triple H put RVD in a sleeper in center ring. When Flair went to the top rope, Ross said, "This isn't going to work! He's been trying it for 20 years and it just doesn't ever work. He just won't give up on it." Sure enough, RVD slammed Flair off the top rope. Good to hear an announcer point out the obvious ridiculousness of that signature spot (ridiculous, but such a tradition it wouldn't be a Flair match without it). At 8:20 RVD came back with a side kick off the second rope and then crawled to the wrong corner for a tag. He finally crawled to the right corner and tagged Kane, but the ref didn't see the tag and disallowed it. As Kane argued with the ref, Triple H rammed RVD into a ringpost at ringside. Flair got a near fall on RVD in the ring. At 9:40 Kane finally did get a hot tag and he hit Triple H with a big clothesline off the top rope. He didn't get nearly the pop that I'm sure everyone in the ring and in the back was hoping for (actually, those against the Katie Vick storyline were probably glad to hear no pop). Kane grabbed both Triple H and Flair by the throats, then gave them both a simultaneous clothesline off the ropes. When RVD went to the top rope, Flair knocked him off balance. Kane and Triple H meanwhile brawled at ringside. Flair gave RVD a low blow mule kick in the ring and followed with a back suplex. Flair did his strut as Triple H and Kane brawled up the ramp to the stage. RVD surprised Flair with an inside cradle for a near fall. RVD nailed Flair with a top rope sidekick to the face and followed with Rolling Thunder and the Five-Star for the pin.

-WINNER: Van Dam & Kane at 12:17 when Van Dam pinned Flair.

-STAR RATING: **3/4 -- The match was well executed by everyone. It was well-designed in building to the hot-tag for Kane, even if the crowd didn't pop much for it. RVD's finishing sequence was well-done, too.

-They cut backstage where Triple H and Kane continued to brawl. Kane threw Triple H into a Pepsi machine. Triple H fought back and attempted a Pedigree on pavement, but Kane reversed it into a catapult into Kane's rental car. Kane then chokeslammed Triple H onto the hood. Kane then dropped Triple H into the trunk of his car. Hurricane slammed the door shut and smiled. "Triple H, you hear me in there?! Now I'm gonna screw you. The only question is, will you still be alive or will I just wait until you're dead." Ross said: "What the hell does that mean." Hurricane must not have slammed the door shut very hard because as Kane drove away, the trunk door began bouncing open a few inches.
