Styles vs. Jeff Jarrett would headline the Oct. 22 PPV… Scott Hudson interviewed Michael Shane who said Shawn Michaels would be known as "the cousin of Michael Shane" soon… Jeremy Borash introduced Antonio Pena to the crowd...

(2) Michael Shane pinned Jerry Lynn at 9:55 to retain the X Title… Hudson interviewed Shark Boy & Mad Mikey. D-Lo interrupted…

(3) Christopher Daniels beat D-Lo Brown at 8:01 … Hudson interviewed Erik Watts who argued with Don Callis about the promotion paying medical bills of wrestlers… The Roddy Piper sitdown interview aired...

(4) Sonny Siaki & Ekmo (a/k/a Jamal) beat Shark Boy & Mad Mikey… A sitdown interview aired with Simon Diamond, Johnny Swinger, Glenn Gilberti, and David Young. Gilberti said Young hadn't earned a spot in their group yet… Hudson interviewed Dusty Rhodes and Jeff Jarrett…

(5) Sandman pinned David Young at 4:18 after which Diamond, Swinger, and Gilberti attacked Sandman, then turned on Young… Russo screamed at Jarrett backstage… James Mitchell cut an in-ring promo with Vampiro, Shane Douglas, Sin, and Slash focused on Raven…

(6) 3 Live Krew beat Sin & Slash & Vampiro via DQ at 7:05. Raven attacked the heels afterward and then cut a promo…

(7) Dusty Rhodes & Jeff Jarrett beat A.J. Styles & Vince Russo at 9:40 when Dusty pinned Styles. Jarrett gave Styles a Stroke finisher off the ropes before Dusty dropped an elbow and pinned Styles. Dusty spanked Styles as he pinned him, adding insult to injury, prompting Styles to challenge Dusty to a match the next week. Dusty agreed to it if Styles put the NWA belt on the line. Styles agreed. Russo got in Styles's face and told him not to agree to it, but Styles - unlike in the past where he has caved in to Russo - slapped Russo and told him nobody owns him. Then, in the ring Jarrett got in Dusty's face over stealing his thunder by demanding an NWA Title match next week since Jarrett, it had been announced earlier in the show, had been granted an NWA Title match against Styles three weeks later, on the Oct. 22 pay-per-view.
