This edition of the Torch Nostalgia podcast, host Torch Nostalgia Columnist Brian Hoops is joined by the greatest amateur wrestler of all time, Danny Hodge. Hodge, the only man to win national titles in boxing and wrestling talks with Hoops about his amateur wrestling career in high and at Oklahoma University, his Olympic disappointment, his loss to Smith prior to the 1956 Olympics, his career in boxing, who taught Hodge about professional wrestling, the influence of Ed "Strangler" Lewis on Hodge, which guys were dumb enough to try to test Hodge, who Danny Hodge says were the toughest men he faced, the car accident that ended his career, the Hodge Trophy, MMA and much more. This was a great interview about a truly remarkable career.
