WWE News: Undertaker jumps over Rey and Finlay to get shot at Batista at Cyber Sunday Oct 13, 2007 - 4:01:22 PM
WWE.com announced today that Undertaker has become the new no. 1 contender and will challenge Batista for the WWE Hvt. Title at Cyber Sunday.
Rey Mysterio and Fit Finlay fought in the Smackdown main event last night to earn a shot at Batista, but they both shoved the ref and were DQ'd. Undertaker then stepped into the ring and stared at Batista, which immediately moved him ahead of Rey and Finlay in contendership for some reason.
The special referee for the match will be decided by fan voting at WWE.com - with the options being Steve Austin, Mick Foley, or JBL.
WK: That's a big match to offer on a show like Cyber Sunday. Not that we haven't seen it before, but it's still the two top big heavyweight stars on Smackdown. There aren't many options on Smackdown, either, so this was the only way for Smackdown to contribute in any meaningful way to the success of the event.
