WWE News: Dating couple who abruptly left WWE last week explain their decision Oct 14, 2007 - 2:24:28 PM
Krissy Vaine and Ryan O'Reilly, who are dating, asked to be released from their WWE contracts last week. There has been a lot of speculation since then what motivated these two developmental talents to walk away.
"There was a lot leading up to our decision," Vaine told Slam Wrestling in an exclusive interview. "I'm just a small-town girl with small-town values. I had my priorities messed up in the past. Being away from home (in Greensboro, N.C.) so long and meeting Ryan (O'Reilly) really helped me realize what was important to me. I could hear my mother's heart breaking every time we spoke on the phone. I couldn't bear the thought that something may happen to someone while I was away and couldn't get home."
O'Reilly had wrestled as Roughouse in Deep South and Florida Championship territories for WWE. He was expected to be promoted to the ECW brand soon.
They both expressed interest in working for TNA, with a lighter schedule.
