WWE News: NBC's hit show "HEROES" includes WWE subplot with Mysterio and JBL Oct 16, 2007 - 12:32:56 AM
-PWTorch reader S.T. writes: The plot on NBC's hit show "HEROES" included a WWE subplot on Monday night. One of the characters kids wanted to order a WWE pay-per-view, but the mom said they couldn't afford it. While the mom was out, the kid's cousin hooked up the cable (using his powers?) to enable them to watch it for free. When the mom returned, they were watching a match between JBL and Rey Mysterio. The mom watched as Rey hit JBL with the 619, and later used the move to thwart a robbery at the fast food joint where she works.
-PWTorch reader Sach Chandan of Jersey City, N.J.: On Monday's all-new "HEROES," three of the characters were watching a PPV with the Mysterio-Orton-Angle match at Wrestlemania 22. When the camera focused on the TV, it only showed clips of Orton and Mysterio fighting. Never was Angle shown on screen. Also, Michael Cole's commentary was still intact, and at every part that I could have sworn he said Angle in the original commentary, the character dialogue was always over. Rey Mysterio hit a 619 on Orton and that became a plot point of the show because the camera focused on the move and because one character, while learning her new powers, did the 619 on a pole against a would-be burglar later on.
