WK ANALYSIS: The Midnight Rockers vs. Buddy Rose & Doug Somers carried the AWA in its latter stages and showed early indications of Michaels's great selling ability. The AWA wasn't strong at that point, but The Midnight Rockers had become its top act along with Curt Hennig at the time. It's one of the more important early-career Michaels feuds, so it's good to see it on the DVD. I haven't watched it in years, but the Michaels-Jarrett match was one of Jarrett's better matches in his career when he was probably at his peak balance of skills and athleticism.
