WK ANALYSIS: It's too bad WWE doesn't have rights to the early-career Rey Mysterio work in Mexico. But for fans only familiar with his 2000s work, his AAA When World's Collide match from 1993 and the early ECW matches will give a nice glimpse into Rey at a time when he was something altogether different than he is today from a body-type and sheer grace and athleticism standpoint. The matches against Ultimo Dragon, Psicosis, and Juventud Guerrera in ECW and WCW show a Rey that, if placed in today's environment, would be a much bigger star than he is already. What he has developed over the years is an efficiency, though, that is more sustainable and fits into the WWE storytelling mode, plus better interviews (although still relatively weak) and he carries himself like a star. This is must-see DVD for newer Rey fans for sure.
