WWE News: Notes on Maria, Cena, Harry Smith, Mistake on Rey DVD, earning report info Oct 18, 2007 - 3:35:48 PM
-One PWTorch.com reader points out how WWE is cover its tracks a little regarding Maria and Santino seeming to be a happy couple again as if there was no distress in their dating weeks back: "On your podcast you just mentioned that you didn't get how the writers seemed to forget that Maria was conflicted about dating Santino. I had the same reaction, but if you watch the end of the match again, you see her say "you used the rope" to him as they leave the ring. I think they actually did try to keep up the angle but it was just too subtly done. Anyway, just letting you know."
-WWE has announced that the report on the results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2007 period ending Sept. 30, 2007 will be announced on Nov. 1 before marketse open. Also, senior management will host a conference call on Thursday, Nov. 1 at 11 a.m. ET.
-PWTorch.com reader Michael Weaver points out an error in the new Rey Mysterio DVD set. He writes: Whoever created the DVD paper that is inside the box made a mistake when listing the matches. They spelled Eddie & Chavo Guerrero's name as "Guerrera" all throughout the insert. However; on the back of the box it's listed as "Guerrero." The listings also have Ultimo Dragon listed as "Ultimate Dragon." On disc 2, chapter 2, they wrote "Halloween House" instead of "Halloween Havoc."
-WWE.com today features footage of Harry Smith vs. Carlito from Birmingham this week, and also a story with quotes from Harry, son of Davey Boy Smith. "I'm actually quite nervous," he said, tapping his fingers lightly against his bulky thighs. "Believe it or not, I had goose bumps on the plane ride over here; England is my father's home country, and I’m dedicating my match against Carlito to him. I want to do my father's legacy proud tonight."
-WWE.com also features today footage of John Cena working out as he "begins his lng road back to the Raw ring."
