Interview Highlights: Daivari talks about managing Khali, getting Kennedy noticed, Michaels, Piper, Taker Oct 22, 2007 - 3:45:32 PM
Richard Jones sent the following recap of Shawn Daivari on The Pain Clinic radio show to PWTorch.com today...
Shawn Daivari was our special guest this on the Pain Clinic on Saturday October 20th. The interview starts with Pain Clinic host Murph asking Daivari how he can do shows like ours since he was only released just a few days ago.
Shawn explains it was mutual with WWE and that Vince encouraged him to do interviews as long as he spoke the truth.
His singing from Raw a few weeks ago was brought up and he admitted it was 100 percemt him. Shawn talks about starting his career with twoWWE legends - Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels.

He still felt he hadn't "made it" after that.
The anti-American angle was discussed and Daivari talked about doing the gimmick before he joined the WWE.
He was encouraged to continue the act in the WWE.
He talked about not getting "old school" hate from fans because he thinks fans are smarter nowadays. He did discuss he and Khali destroying Rey Mysterio in San Diego and the fans shook their car when they left.
The Cashman asks about UPN demanding that Hassan be removed fro WWE TV.
Shawn said that he and Hassan were never given a reason for the axing of their anti-American angle and he feels the gimmick would still have legs today.
He was devastated when it happened.
He was removed form TV for 3 months and came back.
Shawn talks about being paired with Khali and the cultural aspect of he being Iranian and Khali being from India.
He said it had nothing to do with the color of his skin but more the heat he was generating.
He dispels the rumors that he was separated with Khali because of his screaming in his promos. He admits Kahli can't speak and it was sometime after the criticism of his "screaming" that they were separated.
He talks about the crazed screaming promos and how he generates them.
He talks about actually wrestling versus cutting promos.
He talks about the advice he got from some of the legends he worked with like Shawn Michaels, Piper, and the Undertaker.
He talks about how valuable it is to work with the experienced wrestlers.
He noticed his personal improvement after seeing his work after three months with Shawn Michaels.
Shawn said he is a free agent and he's willing to work.
He mentions TNA, Puerto Rico, Japan and Mexico.

Shawn talks about working OVW and who was in his "class" when he was there.
He talked about how he got the right people to look at Kennedy in the WWE.
He has been in the business with Kennedy long before either worked in the WWE.
