WWE News: Notes on Batista addressing steroids, Benoit, book being neutered; SaveUs222 hidden vid Oct 26, 2007 - 3:36:30 PM
-The Easter Egg hunt for SaveUs222 refences continues on WWE.com. The word "two" in the opening line of the new WWE.com article on D.H. Smith, when clicked, launched a SaveUs video. The article itself is pretty funny, right out of a newsstand magazine in the 1980s with the storylne-based quotes (not that that's a bad thing, but it's pretty corny sounding even for WWE.com standards). -Batista talks Steroids - PWTorch subscriber Tim Davis writes: Batista was on DC-101's Elliot in the Morning radio show in studio. They covered the usual hype for Cyber Sunday, since D.C. is Dave's hometown, but then they went into the steroids issue. A couple weeks back, the members of the show had a debate over who was doing steriods and who wasn't (based solely on guesses and speculation) and Batista's name came up. So when it came time to ask him, he handled pretty much the WWE company line. However, at one point, he did admit to taking steroids in the mid-'90s in his bodybuilding phase, but he then stressed it wasn't okay for him to do that and he didn't want any kids listening to think it was okay because he did it. I thought that part was interesting, although I have not read his book yet so it may be in there too. Speaking of his book, he also said it was a "neutered" one because he had a lot more in there that was taken out. As for the WWE company line, when asked about Chris Benoit, Batista said as far as he knew Benoit's tests had been negative and even his "autopsy was negative for steroids." Batista said he's been accused of steroids since he was 17 so he just shrugs it off. If you want to check it out, the site is www.eitmonline.com and it's in the audio section.
