Torch reader Rod Stetzer sent in the following notes on Forbes Magazine's story on WWE.

The Torch already noted that Forbes Magazine has ranked World Wrestling Entertainment as one of the nation's 200 Best Small Companies. Well, the ranking is in the Oct. 27, 2008 edition of the magazine.

On Page 133, Forbes lists the WWE as one of 37 companies that are new to the list. There's a small article on the WWE, along with a photo of John Cena delivered a flying clothesline to a bald-headed opponent, perhaps Snitsky.

The article reads: "It's a family affair at WWE (No. 122). Vincent McMahon is a regular character in the company's live televised matches. (He got his head shaved last year by Donald Trump, after the Battle of the Billionaires.) His wife, Linda, is chief executive. Together the family owns 66% of the Stamford, Conn. company.

Its popular WrestleMania in March featured 147-pound boxing champion Floyd Mayweather going up against 441-pound wrestler Paul (Big Show) Wight. Mayweather won by a knockout, with the help of a metal folding chair and a pair of brass knuckles."

Then on Page 170, the listing at No. 122 for the WWE says it "provides wrestling matches for live and television audiences." Forbes lists the market value of the WWE as $1,097 million, with $533 million in sales the last 12 months.

In case you're wondering, Rick's Cabaret International, a chain of strip clubs, ranks 87 on the Forbes list. Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is 102 and WD-40 is 160. Oh, and Boston Beer is 183rd.
