In the latest installment of WWE Magazine, there is an article picking out 25 reasons why WrestleMania is better than the annual NFL Super Bowl.

Some are legit, some are forced, some are reasons why there is a history of problems in pro wrestling.

(3) Post-game after WrestleMania is Raw. "Super Bowl winners talk about making that pilgrimage to Disneyland after their victory. Win or lose, WWE Superstars compete on Raw the very next night."

This captures the lack of off-season in pro wrestling, which is an issue Torch editor Wade Keller has written extensively about for two decades. The lack of off-season means no time for rest, recharging the batteries, or something as simple as reflecting on a season's worth of hard work and dedication to be reenergized for the next season.

(22) No Injury Timeouts - When's the last time you saw an NFL pro play through a broken collarbone?

This isn't a badge of honor, just like it's sad the NFL media has quickly glanced over Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger's recent concussion without focusing on the real issue at hand - long-term effects of continued concussion.

Risking long-term injury by "working through" a broken collarbone or becoming dependent on medication as a "band-aid" for broken bones only leads to more issues down the road. Wrestlers and athletes should be tough, but also be smart.

WWE also takes a personal jab at Bob Costas, who was notoriously on the receiving end of a finger-in-the-face from Vince McMahon on HBO several years ago. Whoever wrote the following line probably secured job security.

"With Super Bowl XLIII airing on NBC this year, you'll be subjugated to at least four hours of inane pregame chatter spewing from the mouth of diminutive, non-athlete Bob Costas. He's not nearly as entertaining as the similarly-sized Hornswoggle, but he is much cleaner."
