WWE star Tommy Dreamer is on a storyline "quest" for the ECW Title before his contract expires with WWE in June. Dreamer says his quest isn't something that just came up, but a storyline he's been considering for some time.

"This isn't a spur of the moment thing, it has been something I have been dealing with for quite some time," Dreamer said on his WWE Universe blog.

Dreamer also responded to Miz & Morrison's scripted promo on ECW about him being old, fat, and no one caring about his quest. Dreamer, nearly at age 38, pointed out a very startling fact from the Royal Rumble roster.

"I recently looked at Cyber Sunday and the Royal Rumble and guess what, there (were) 19 guys who (were) advertised on those shows that are either the same age or older than me."

Dreamer wrote about the current body shape he's in, saying he might not have the greatest body externally, but he's the healthiest WWE wrestler on the roster.

"WWE has the greatest Wellness Program ever and I have never had a suspension," Dreamer said. "Actually have better blood work and heart rates than all the WWE superstars according to our doctors for three years now."

Caldwell's Analysis: It's very startling to see how many of WWE's top stars are in their late 30s to 40s in age. One of the issues in this era of pro wrestling is the lack of stars that have been created since the end of the Attitude/Monday Night Wars era. John Cena and Randy Orton top the list of new stars created post-War, but the top stars in WWE and TNA are still hold-overs from that era. Granted, Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, JBL, and The Undertaker are doing their best work right now and deserve top spots, but they're not going to hold up like Ric Flair for another decade. It's worth being concerned about the future of wrestling when new stars aren't being created in favor of replaying the past.
