-Todd Grisham introduced the Hall of Fame ceremony.

-Dusty Rhodes introduced Terry & Dory Funk. He said Terry was extreme before it was fashionable and Dory was a real shooter. He said he has respect for the Funk, and the Funks respect the fans.

-Terry Funk said, "With an introduction like that, I'll never call you an egg-suckin' dog again!" Dory Funk read a prepared statement. He talked about his years as a wrestler, becoming champion, his miles on the road, and days worked per year. He said he'd do it all over again. He thanked the promoters who paid him, his peers "who put me over," and his family and doctors "including his son," his attorneys who have saved him over and over, both of his wives who have given so much, the Guerrero family, the Hart family, Gene Kiniski whom he beat for the NWA World Title. He thanked his children and grandchldren. He said he helped train Matt Hardy, Christian, Mickie James, Edge, Jeff Hardy, and Mark Henry. They showed crowd shots of them in the crowd. He thanked a few more people, said it was great that Texas is hosting the "25th Anniversary" of WrestleMania, and then plugged his website, Dory-Funk.com, where he said he'd have more to say.

-Terry Funk (who looked really vibrant and healthy) stepped up to the podium. He thanked his wife Vickie for giving him the best gift ever, his two daughters. He also acknowledged his sons-in-law, saying they were great dads. He said they want to be WWE Superstars some day, but they have to finish their college first. He said, "There's no room for dummies in the WWE." He said you have to multifaceted and have to have sense. He told the kids to get that education first. He said this is for his father, his brother, his peers, and ECW. Nice to see him give a shout out to ECW. He quoted Theodore Rosevelt. "They say you're only as old as you feel. Well, I feel 105 and I'm ready to go," he said. "I want to go to heaven in a wrestling ring." He said he'll park the ring half way to the stars and they'll have a universal battle royal that goes on for eternity and all of his rowdy wrestling fans are welcome to join him there. He said in Heaven it's BYOB.
