Ric Flair continues to play the role of WWE ambassador despite leaving the company last year to pursue his personal interests in the wrestling business. Flair told ESPN that WWE, which Flair called "we," has cleaned up the wrestling business from its past steroid issues.

"Our company's as clean as can be. We've got the most stringent drug-testing policies in place in the world. There's no ifs, ands, or buts," Flair told Elizabeth Merrill of ESPN. "The guys pee in an open area. It is what it is. The guys pay the penalty now. We're not going to mess around with that after all we've been through."

Flair expanded on the thought of what the wrestling business has "been through" by admitting that he "experimented" with steroids in the 1980s "just like everybody else."

Regarding his personal life, Flair told ESPN that he currently owes his two ex-wives $22,000 monthly in total alimony payments.

He says he's finally tried to give up the "Ric Flair character" outside of wrestling to pursue a relationship with his current girlfriend, who is 40-year-olds, has braces, and takes care of Flair's needs at 60 years-old.

"It's just a different way of life right now," Flair said. "I'm not that character anymore. I haven't been that character that I made so famous for a long time."
