WWE star C.M. Punk says he would like to turn heel after being a babyface since he joined WWE in 2005. However, Punk says WWE doesn't have any plans for him to change his character.

"If it was up to me, then yes, absolutely," Punk told Rob McNicol of the U.K. Sun in a recent interview from WWE's U.K. tour. "Do I think WWE is ready for a heel CM Punk? No, I don't. I don’t see it happening any time soon. But man would that be fun."

Punk said there are five major opponents he's never faced in WWE that he thinks he could have great programs with. All five are babyfaces. He says he's "pissed" that he hasn't had a chance to work these programs yet.

"Undertaker would be the number one guy now I'm on Smackdown," Punk said. "I've never wrestled Cena, Triple H, HBK, or Jeff Hardy. To me, those are five huge, huge matches and I would love nothing more than to get in there with those guys."

Punk said last month that he doesn't plan on ambushing a World champion to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase. Punk would prefer a storyline where he actually tells the opponent ahead of time to "silence the critics" that he was a fluke World champion last year.

"I'm a guy who gets bored very, very easily and doing the same thing over and over again isn’t very appealing, I would much rather do it a different way," Punk said about why he liked ambushing Edge to win the title in June 2008. "This time, perhaps I'll silence the critics and call someone ahead of time."

Punk reflected on last year when Samoa Joe was the TNA champion and he was the WWE World Hvt. champion at the same time. Punk says they weren't surprised at their success, even though that might come across cocky.

"Joe's wife actually asked us, we were sitting around at Thanksgiving dinner, and she said: 'It's crazy, did you ever both think you’d be world champions in different companies?' We both looked at either other and went 'Yep!' It may sound egotistical, but we knew we were that good," Punk said. "We were two of the craziest most driven people you’ve ever seen in your entire life. I see something and go after it."

Punk was asked who he sees as the next WWE star from the younger group of wrestlers. He says Evan Bourne is at the top of the list as the next Rey Mysterio if WWE books him correctly.

"If we're talking about guys with potential, he's head and shoulders above everybody," Punk said. "Maybe I'm a little biased. But he's a wrestling guy."
