WWE star Batista says he would like to turn heel on WWE TV before his career is over. He says WWE hasn't told him when that will be the case, but Batista is adamant he would like to finish his career as a bad guy.

"I always enjoy being a heel. There aren't any plans that I know of, but I'm sure (I'll turn) at some point before the end of my career," Batista told Christopher Smith of The Mirror in the U.K. "I would love to go out as a heel."

Batista acknowledges that his wrestling career is winding down. His contract expires in one year and he's going to wait until the end of this stretch to make a decision on whether to continue wrestling.

"It's something that I've been thinking about a lot. I really just have mixed feelings about it right now," Batista said. "I have just about another year left on my contract which I want to fulfill and when I start getting close to the end of that contract that's when I'll make a final decision."

Batista says he doesn't want to "overstay my welcome" and allow the younger stars a chance to become stars for WWE. Before that, though, he would like to have another feud with Triple H or John Cena, especially if his plan to turn heel goes through.

Batista says he could have been involved in the Triple H vs. Randy Orton program at WrestleMania 25, but he was told the Thursday before Mania that he would not be used.

"I actually went up to see Vince (McMahon) about a month before the show because I felt my leg was healing up so fast," Batista said about his speedy recovery from his serious leg injury. "I told him 'I think I could be ready for WrestleMania' and he said that they'd definitely be able to use me."

Batista says WWE decided not to have a run-in during the Hunter-Orton match at WrestleMania, but save his surprise appearance for the next night on Raw. Batista sounds slightly agitated that he wasn't used at Mania, where he would have picked up a significant payday even for a run-in.

"They felt it would work better on Raw than it would at WrestleMania," Batista said about his surprise return. "I didn't really ask questions, just said, 'Okay, if that's what you guys want.'"
