WWE star MVP was featured on this morning's episode of "The View" to discuss co-host Sherri Shepherd's involvement in last Friday's Smackdown show. The segment established that WWE is a traveling circus of freaky individuals, delivers intense athleticism in the ring, and appeals to women.

MVP came across very polished during his live appearance, while Sherri Shepherd retained her enthusiasm for the WWE product even "out of character" describing her two-day tour with WWE last week.

Segment recap

After Donald Trump's multiple-segment appearance on "The View," Sherri Shepherd introduced a segment called "Sherri's Ultimate Smackdown" recapping her appearance on WWE TV.

They cued up a video package of Sherri Shepherd at the Raw taping in Bridgeport, Conn. last Monday. MVP brought in Hornswoggle to be Sherri's tour guide. Sherri played up that she was freaked out by Hornswoggle's grunting.

Suddenly, there was Great Khali. Runjin Singh said Khali loves The View from up there. Cut to a shot of Sherri's cleavage from Khali's view. Khali thinks Barbara Walters is hot. He just wants the digits, Singh said.

Santina interrupted. Sherri tried to break kayfabe: "Oh, Santino, why are you dressed like that?" Santina said she just missed Santino by three minutes. Cryme Tyme then stepped in to dance with Sherri and Hornswoggle. Sherri played up that she was a bit intimidated by Cryme Tyme initially.

After being run through the freak show, Sherri made it to the ring to meet up with MVP for some training. MVP showed her a collar-and-elbow tie-up. Sherri wanted to rehearse the celebratory kiss after MVP wins. Cut to a shot of Sherri's hair frazzled to suggest extracurricular activity.

They went to a video package from Smackdown when MVP beat Dolph Ziggler last Friday at MSG. Collar-and-elbow tie-up, just like MVP practiced. They showed an extensive portion of the match action before MVP scored the pin for the win to establish the in-ring athleticism.

Backstage after the match, Sherri was talking and talking and talking about the match. "Oh, MVP, you are the best!"

Back live on the set of "The View," Sherri was sporting her sequined robe, then she brought out MVP, who came out with the U.S. Title belt around his waist. MVP shook hands with everyone on the set.

MVP said Sherri was a huge help for his match. He suggested the other ladies not upset Sherri because she packs a punch based on the slap she delivered to Dolph.

To establish the importance of women in WWE's corporate structure, MVP said Linda McMahon is the CEO and Stephanie McMahon "calls the shots" backstage. He said 40 percent of the audience is made up of women. Sherri then plugged Smackdown on Friday nights and Raw to close the segment.
