By James Caldwell, Torch assistant editor

-- Shawn Michaels returned to WWE TV for the first time since WrestleMania 25 in a series of vignettes with Triple H. Michaels eventually gave up his storyline "day job" of flipping hamburgers to return to WWE at Summerslam. Michaels and Triple H will face Legacy (Ted DiBiase, Jr. & Cody Rhodes) in a tag match on the PPV.

-- Next week's Raw TV main event will be WWE champion Randy Orton & John Cena vs. Unified tag champions Chris Jericho & Big Show. Tonight's Raw guest host Sgt. Slaughter booked the match at the end of tonight's show after the main event of Chris Jericho vs. John Cena went to a No Contest.

-- Former WWE writing consultant Freddy Prinze, Jr. was announced as the guest host for next week's Raw from St. Louis. The show next week is the final episode of Raw leading to Summerslam.

-- Announced for tomorrow night's episode of ECW TV is the Abraham Washington show with guest ECW champion Christian. WWE also teased we'll find out the next challenger(s) to Christian's title.

-- Announced for this week's WWE Smackdown on Friday night is C.M. Punk vs. John Morrison in a singles match. Morrison won the first two encounters between the two when Punk was World Hvt. champ. Punk is scheduled to face World Hvt. champ Jeff Hardy in a TLC match at Summerslam.

-- Eugene returned to WWE TV in an announced, unadvertised match where he competed against the masked "Calgary Kid" in a WWE-contract-on-a-pole match. Kid won and revealed himself to be The Miz, who was unofficially reinstated to the Raw brand after being "banned for all eternity" by last week's Raw guest host, Jeremy Piven.

-- Jack Swagger beat Evan Bourne in the third match of their mini-best-of-three series. Bourne won the first match on July 27, Swagger won the second match on August 3, and Swagger won the third match this week.

-- Gail Kim earned a "future Divas Title shot" against current champion Mickie James. Gail won a four-way match over Beth Phoenix, Alicia Fox, and Kelly Kelly in the opening match.

-- U.S. champion Kofi Kingston was not on tonight's show. He still does not have a U.S. Title match scheduled for Summerslam. Unified tag champion Big Show made a reference to destroying Kofi on last week's show during a promo where Show also name-dropped Shaquille O'Neal to keep Shaq's name in the dialogue to continue planting seeds for a potential match between Show and Shaq down the road.
