WWE News: ECW TV rating for Tuesday night's show, analysis of ECW ratings trend

Tuesday night's episode of ECW TV featuring the final build to Christian vs. William Regal at Summerslam averaged a 1.2 rating, which was up from last week's 1.1 rating. The show averaged 1.74 million viewers, which was identical to the August 4 show.

Compared to the previous five weeks of ECW TV, viewership for Tuesday's show was dead even. WWE's Tuesday night show was up 6.3 percent compared to the previous ten weeks of TV.

Since moving to the 10:00 p.m. EST timeslot on May 5, ECW is averaging 1.57 million viewers per episode. The peak during this time was 1.92 million viewers on July 28 following the Night of Champions PPV. The low point was 1.23 million viewers on May 12.

In the later timeslot, ECW was only averaging 1.39 million viewers after seven weeks. The average increased to 1.49 million viewers on the eleventh week. Now, they are closing in on 1.59 million viewers after 15 weeks.

Caldwell's Analysis: ECW has shown very progressive increases since May in the later timeslot. WWE is benefiting from having a very strong lead-in show, Warehouse 13, in front of the ECW show. Moving the show back an hour started off very rough, but the change has paid dividends over time.
