ESPN Radio in Los Angeles co-host Andrew Siciliano bashed former WWE CEO Linda McMahon and wrestling fans following McMahon's announcement that she will be running for Senate in Connecticut.

Siciliano hosts a sports radio show with former Los Angeles Lakers player Mychal Thompson. They brought on The Big Show on a previous episode during Summerslam season and Siciliano bashed wrestling then as well. (Read the Big Show Interview Recap.)

Siciliano and Thompson were debating possible tongue-in-cheek campaign slogans for Linda McMahon's Senate campaign. Thompson, a self-proclaimed wrestling fan, played off sayings by The Rock, Steve Austin, Ric Flair, and Roddy Piper. Siciliano chose a different route.

"If you're dumb enough to watch wrestling, you might be dumb enough to vote for me," he said. "(Would it fit) on a bumper sticker? These people are driving big trucks; it would fit on their bumper."

Siciliano also bashed McMahon for fitting in with the other "crooks" who run the U.S. government in Washington, D.C.

"Washington is full of phony, bad-acting crooks anyways, so why not send another phony, bad-acting crook to Washington? I'll fit in fine. I come from the world of pro wrestling where everything is scripted for my personal gain. So, why don't I go to Washington because they act like bad professional wrestlers anyways. The only thing Washington lacks is fake blood packets and the well-placed folding chair."

Caldwell's Analysis: Linda McMahon isn't going to convince everyone WWE is a wonderful little small business with PG-rated content aimed at kids who are taught what's right from wrong on Monday nights. She's committed to her campaign of fiscal responsibility and smarter spending, etc., but she'll encounter plenty of this anti-wrestling rhetoric from the mainstream that thinks her campaign is a joke. It's par for the course, but won't affect her campaign unless she lets it.
