WWE wrestler MVP and WWE diva Eve appeared on "The Sarge and OQ Revue" show that airs on Sirius XM Radio's Hip Hop Nation channel yesterday to promote "Tribute to the Troops" and talk health issues in wrestling. The following are highlights from the interview.

-- MVP talked openly about "Umaga" Eddie Fatu's death. "Unfortunately, Eki had some issues that he wasn't prepared to come to terms with," MVP said. Little by little in our industry, this is being phased out and sadly, he's just another casualty."

Earlier in the radio show appearance, MVP gave his personal thoughts on Umaga's death. "It's tough, man. He and I were close. He was one of the guys who moved out to Houston with us. He was one of the guys who it would be hard-pressed to find something bad to say about him," MVP said. "To know he's gone and he left behind a wife and four buys was tough. It's real painful. We spend more time on the road with each other more than with our real families, so we become family for each other."

-- Eve added her thoughts on the WWE Wellness Policy trying to offer the wrestlers some form of protection being on the road so often.

"We're a publicly-traded company and we have to have some sort of regulation. They do want to look out for us," she said. "It's a hard lifestyle to live. With that comes drugs or other kinds of habits that may form because you live this hard lifestyle, so they implemented the drug policy several years ago and they've been pretty strict with it."

-- Related to storylines, MVP said he's proposed an idea to Vince McMahon to put his hair on the line in an angle.

"I actually spoke to Vince McMahon about putting my cornrows on the line for a title shot," he said. "We'll see what happens. I'm willing to cut them off." Eve chimed in: "A cornrow match." MVP added: "Pin me, pay me. Let's roll with it."

-- MVP also talked about the experience traveling overseas to Iraq, which he said was his first trip for "Tribute to the Troops."

"It takes a lot to shake me, but it was humbling to go out there. You see ordinary people doing extraordinary things," he said. "When you go over there and see the people over there and get to find out this kid was a college student or this person's a mother with two kids back home, it puts everything perspective."
