WWE wrestler Batista says he sees himself retired and possibly working as an agent five years from now. He also knocked younger talent on the WWE roster in an overseas interview.

"Five years from now, he (Batista) sees himself 'fat and retired' and perhaps still working for WWE behind the scene," reported the Manila Standard newspaper in the Philippines in an interview with Batista.

Batista said he believes he is part of a "dying breed" of wrestlers and he doesn't feel confident in the new group of talent being looked at to carry WWE after his time is up.

"We're dinosaurs in this age of instant gratification," Batista said. "We are not just athletes, we are also storytellers and I don’t see that in the newcomers."

Batista also talked about the impact of Eddie Guerrero on his life. Batista said he can't watch anything from Eddie on DVD.

"I can’t watch Eddie on DVD to this day and it’s been years since he dies. He was a really good friend and idol," Batista said.

Caldwell's Analysis: Batista has shown some promise on the mic lately since his heel turn, but he's not in a position to critique "storytelling" ability. He's also benefited from being in the right place at the right time during his career, starting with getting a rub from Triple H and Ric Flair in Evolution to be in the position he's in now. His standing as one of WWE's top stars, when healthy, is more a result of circumstances than what he's brought to the table as a performer or "storyteller."
