According to sources from backstage at Raw tonight in Minneapolis, Minn., Mike Tyson was easy to work with. He didn't bring a big posse, but rather just a couple security guards and several members of his family, including a baby. Tyson participating in the main event match was on the format sheet early in the day, so it wasn't a last second addition but planned coming into the day.

A lot of wrestlers live in Minnesota and often visit backstage at WWE events over the years. Molly Holly was backstage, as usual, visiting old friends.

After Raw went off the air, Mike Tyson slapped hands with fans at ringside for a couple minutes as DX with Hornswoggle posed on the stage and milked cheers. The fans began to file out of the arena, even though local advertising hyped a John Cena vs. Sheamus main event.

With about 20 percent of the crowd gone, Justin Roberts announced a World Title match was up next. Fans began returning to their seats from the concourse area.

Sheamus came out first followed by John Cena. It was Cena's third appearance in front of the fans and his pop was maybe 15 percent of what it was earlier. They had a very short dark match lasting about two minutes, ending with Sheamus walking out and getting counted out. Cena chased after Sheamus and dragged him from the ramp back to the ring for a short beating.

Cena then played to the crowd for a few minutes. When a loud "You Can't Wrestle" chant broke out, Cena said they were Dallas Cowboys fans who were nice enough to visit Minneapolis for Raw. He said they'll be very sad after next Sunday's game against the Vikings. Earlier he mistakenly said he was there because of the Packers in the playoffs, then quickly caught himself and corrected it to Vikings. (WWE Smackdown is in Green Bay tomorrow, but Cena won't be there.)

Cena interacted with the fans on the mic for another couple minutes and that concluded the show. Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler stayed at ringside for the dark match. Cena complained to them when Sheamus walked out on the match.

WWE will be holding the October PPV (presumably Bragging Rights will still be the title) in Minneapolis at Target Center, but that was not announced during the event tonight.

Attendance was strong, at nearly 9,000 paid with the entire lower bowl packed and the entire upper deck all the way to the back row packed on the side opposite the hard camera. They had other portions of the upper deck tarped off, but it was a strong crowd.

Tyson got a good response. He's been booed in the past at WWE events.

Before Raw, Primo & Gail Kim beat Chavo Guerrero & Jillian. Also Chris Masters (w/Eve) beat Carlito. Masters got a nice pop from the crowd, but the night was still young.

Justin Roberts was heckled during down times in commercial breaks. It led to the opposite side of the arena starting a brief but loud pro-Roberts chant, "Justin Roberts... Justin Roberts..." He kept looking into the stands to try to locate who was heckling him during commercials, mocking his grinding multi-syllable inflections during ring announcements.

The funniest moment of the night, drawing some laughs from the crowd, came during Jack Swagger's ring entrance. He was doing his arms-extended prance around the ring as usual as his music played. When he stopped, a camera man at ringside signaled with his arm to keep going, as apparently the director was not on him yet as they had a video airing live on Raw at that time. So Swagger awkwardly forced himself back into his arm-extended signature prance at the prompting of the cameraman. The crowd laughed.

Also later during Cena's ring intro he began to come down the ramp, but then stopped and paused and then picked up his ring entrance seconds later, trying to get the timing right with what was airing on camera.

Not sure if it's typical at WWE live events these days, but they dusted off the "Rise & Fall of WCW" DVD that included footage accompanied by harsh criticism of Eric Bischoff, Vince Russo, Kevin Nash, and Hulk Hogan and played it during one of the commercial breaks.
