Smackdown taping for Friday (1/22) on MyNetworkTV

(1) Finlay beat Batista via DQ after Batista eye-raked Finlay. After the match, Batista beat down Finlay and cut a promo. Batista said he's going after The Undertaker at the Royal Rumble.

(2) Dolph Ziggler beat Jimmy Wang Yang via submission with a sleeper. Yang looked strong despite taking the loss. Good match.

C.M. Punk cut a promo. It flowed from DX (since Punk and Luke Gallows won the #1 contender to the tag titles last week) to the Royal Rumble to saving a fan. A woman jumped the guardrail to be saved and he actually shaved her head. No, it was not Roxxi.

Teddy Long announced IC champion Drew McIntyre & Chris Jericho vs. John Morrison & R-Truth.

(3) John Morrison & R-Truth beat IC champion Drew McIntyre & Chris Jericho. There was a long, extended beat down on Morrison. The ref didn't see the heels score a pin, then Truth pinned Jericho for the win.

Mickie James cut a promo about all women being beautiful. Her promo ended with a brawl. Beth Phoenix joined Women's champion Michelle McCool and Layla in a beating on Mickie.

(4) Cryme Tyme (Shad Gaspard & JTG) vs. Mike Knox & Charlie Haas ended in a No Contest. Kane interrupted and cleared the ring for no apparent reason. He walked away after the damage.

(5) Matt Hardy & Great Khali beat Hart Dynasty (D.H. Smith & Tyson Kidd w/Natalya). Natalya tried to flirt with Khali, but that didn't work.

Rey Mysterio called out World Hvt. champion Undertaker in the final segment of the show. They exchanged formula promos and when Taker walked away, Batista jumped Rey from behind to end the show.

Post-Show: Vickie Guerrero came out and gave Rey Mysterio a revenge match against Batista.

Dark Match: Rey Mysterio beat Batista in a No DQ match. Rey used a broom and Batista used a chair. Virtually half of the locker room stormed the ring. When the dust settled, Rey pinned Batista to win the match and send the audience home happy.
