WWE wrestler The Miz was profiled by his hometown newspaper, the Cleveland Plain-Dealer, to continue to raise Miz's profile as one of WWE's future stars.

The story focused on Miz developing his character from high school to MTV's "Real World" to WWE TV as a classic heel that fans tune in to watch because they can't stand him.

"For me, it's a hyper version of myself, a cockier version of myself," Miz said. "I know how to make myself very, very cocky and annoying. That's my character. I enjoy doing it. People hate it. But I don't mind it when people hate it."

Miz's father was also interviewed for the story and he suggested Miz will be in movies one day with his cocky persona.

"He's a comedian. I think he's going to definitely go into movies or something," said Michael Mizanin. "I don't think that's his goal, but what they're doing with him on WWE, I don't see them doing that with anybody else."

Miz's former tag partner, John Morrison, said tongue-in-cheek that everything about Miz on TV - including bad breath - is what you see off TV.

"As annoying and obnoxious and loud-mouthed and bad-breathed and close-talking as he is, those are all reasons why people watch television and think, 'man, I don't like that guy.' It's because he's not acting," Morrison said. "He really is that annoying — and that's going to take him to the top."
