WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross published a new blog on jrsbarbq.com today covering subjects in the news including Brock Lesnar possibly working with WWE again, Smackdown moving to Syfy, and the future of NXT. Ross also gave an endorsement to Ring of Honor. The following are highlights of Ross's comments.

-- Ross said he doesn't believe Brock Lesnar will have a WWE wrestling match while he's still competing for UFC as an MMA fighter, but he sees Lesnar as a potential guest host for Raw.

"I can see Lesnar easily pulling off a Guest Host shot on Raw around the time that Brock's book comes out which I assume is later in 2010," Ross said. "After Brock calls it a career in UFC, which I also don't see for a while, it's within the realm of possibility that he could do a 'one off' bout in WWE likely at a WrestleMania."

Ross added that he doesn't believe a one-off match would be likely for a few years. "Let's not start the dialog about Atlanta and who Lesnar 'might' wrestle in the Georgia Dome. That's just not going to happen in my eyes," he said.

-- Ross followed up the Lesnar analysis with an endorsements for HDNet's MMA coverage and Ring of Honor. "Speaking of MMA, how many of you follow MMA on HDNet? If you are not a HDNet viewer, I wholeheartedly suggest that you give them a shot. I'm a fan of that network. Love the MMA content and try and watch ROH too," Ross said.

-- Ross endorsed Smackdown's move to Syfy from MyNetworkTV and raised a concern about WWE not having a broadcast TV presence after leaving MyNet.

"This move is great for Syfy which averages under a one rating point whereas Smackdown should garner well above the network norm," Ross said. "It seems as if WWE would attempt to have a presence on broadcast TV via local syndication so that 100 percent of their content isn't strictly on cable or satellite. I'm not in the loop and my opinion is just that, my take on the matter."

Caldwell's Analysis: WWE certainly needs to find a way to be in local markets, as there is still a a good chunk of viewers - especially families who buy tickets to house shows and live events - who do not have cable, cannot afford cable, and only watch TV via over-the-air channels. This will be an interesting development to watch.

-- Ross suggested Bravo could be a future home for NXT after it's bumped from Syfy in the fall. "It would not shock me to see NXT move to Bravo but that's mere speculation on my part," Ross said. "Bravo is another of WWE's 'partner networks' and seems like a viable candidate for NXT but your guess is as good as mine."

Caldwell's Analysis: Bravo makes sense being part of the NBC Universal family. FX reportedly wanted to get their hands on wrestling programming last year, so they could be in the running. That's my speculation, as I haven't heard information on which networks WWE is negotiating with for Syfy.
