Former WWE CEO Linda McMahon made a well-coached and at times laughable appearance on Fox News's "Hannity" talk show last night.

McMahon was brought on the show to discuss this week's big political news story of Richard Blumenthal, the Democratic candidate for the Connecticut Senate position, reportedly embellishing his Vietnam War record.

McMahon, who has yet to fully address her time as WWE CEO overseeing a company with a historically poor health record and is positioning herself as a political outsider in the Senate race, characterized Blumenthal as a typical "career politician."

"I think he's just painting himself into the same corner as the same politicians who just don't tell the truth," McMahon said.

Sean Hannity, the host of the show, asked McMahon to describe her campaign's role in helping the New York Times break the story on Blumenthal's questionable war record. McMahon responded by downplaying her campaign's involvement in assisting the Times.

"Some of our research I think helped them later on after they had broken the story," McMahon said.

Following that laughable comment from McMahon, whose campaign initially took credit for "exposing Blumenthal" in the Times story, Hannity followed up by asking McMahon if she really had no role in the Times story.

"Our research - they had initiated this story. We contributed some research to the story for the New York Times. They did all the research, all the verification for the story," McMahon said.
