WWE wrestler The Miz addressed WWE's concussion testing in a media interview promoting Sunday's PPV. Miz talked up WWE's addition to the Wellness Policy addressing one of the most important issues in pro wrestling.

"I've had concussions. I've had bruised ribs, black eyes - you know, the works done to me. You just keep going through it," Miz told the Toledo Blade online newspaper.

"After the concussions, obviously, you have to take an 'Impact' test to make sure you're okay to keep going. And until you pass the 'Impact' test you're not allowed to be back in WWE's ring."

Miz also talked about how long he plans to continue wrestling after being asked how much of an effect the full-time WWE schedule has had on his body.

"I'm going to do it as long as it's fun. As long as I'm having fun, and I'm doing good, and I'm being successful, then I'm going to keep on doing what I'm doing, no matter if my body is hurting or not. We're always hurting," Miz said.

"It's a painful, painful job. We don't have an off-season, we don't have off time. We don't have the three months to heal our bodies, we just keep going and going. I love it."

Caldwell's Analysis: WWE does not publicly disclose their application of the Impact concussion testing, which is unfortunate. Privacy issues are a concern, but it would help lend some credibility to the Wellness Policy if they actually identified the application of their policy in one of the most important health areas in pro wrestling. Another concern is accountability. If WWE were to identify a wrestler having having recent concussion issues, then he wrestled on TV, it would open up WWE to questions on why a wrestler's health was risked if there is a documented health concern.
