WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross published a new blog on jrsbarbq.com today covering his upcoming return to a backstage role at WWE's next PPV, The Undertaker's injury, the next season of NXT, the death of legendary basketball coach John Wooden, and other topics.

-- Ross said he's set to travel to New York for WWE's Fatal Four-Way PPV on June 20. It will be Ross's first WWE event in an official working role since fall 2009. Ross said he hopes to meet up with TNA announcer Taz beforehand.

"Got my travel handled for the Fatal Four-Way in the Nassau Coliseum coming up later this month. Looking forward to hanging in the back and helping where I can at my first WWE PPV where I will be in the locker room area since September of last year," Ross said. "I wonder if I can get my pal Taz to spring for dinner the night before the event, if he's in town."

-- Ross briefly mentioned The Undertaker's reported injury and said he hasn't heard an update on when Taker is expected to return to WWE.

"Too bad to hear about the Undertaker's misfortune. I've heard of no timetable for his return," Ross said.

-- Ross addressed one of the big questions coming into the second season of NXT - will there be significant tweaks or upgrades to the often-criticized format?

"I'm curious to see if there are any significant tweaks on NXT this Tuesday night for the premier of season two. I've mentioned this before but being a fan of reality shows I would like to see the contestants interact in a non-arena type setting more frequently," Ross said. "Will Michael Cole select another NXT rooked to haze or has that specific ship sailed?"
