WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross published a new blog on jrsbarbq.com reviewing the NXT Season Two Rookies, talking about the Raw GM hint for "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, and covering other topics in the news.

-- On the NXT Rookies, Ross said Husky Harris stands out to him as a "special athlete" with quickness. He also suggested Harris drop a few pounds. On Kaval, Ross said he envisions some stellar matches with Rey Mysterio down the line. Ross also gave a positive evaluation of Joe Hennig (Michael McGillicutty).

-- Ross said he had dinner with Steve Austin last Friday and the topic of Raw GM never came up. With WWE trying to tease Austin could be the GM on Monday's Raw, Ross quipped he should have hitched his wagon to Austin to get back on TV.

"I have no clue as to who will end up being revealed as the Raw GM but I'm enjoying the mystery," Ross said. "I think that when its finally revealed that we will all likely be surprised, perhaps shocked, and it might not be who many of us have on our own list of viable candidates."

Caldwell's Analysis: The key to the "reveal" is being able to hit a very important sweet spot. The reveal has to have a good payoff to reward the audience for staying tuned each week to eventually find out who the GM is, and it also has to make sense to keep viewers tuned in beyond the initial payoff to see how the GM continues to interact with the Raw brand wrestlers and Nexus. It will be interesting to see if WWE can deliver that payoff with whoever they select as the Raw GM and then keep viewers interested for the follow-through.
