WWE Money in the Bank PPV live report
July 18, 2010
Kansas City, Mo.
Report by Emma Cornish, PWTorch reader

-- The Sprint Center was probably 70 percent full. It was definitely worth the time and money to attend the event live.

-- After the show went off-air, Nexus came back out to help Justing Gabriel out of the ring. Wade Barrett then cut a promo, saying he couldn't believe people would hate them just for chasing their dreams. He also said they would be going after John Cena and Sheamus Monday night on Raw.

Live PPV Notes

-- The crowd went crazy when Kane cashed in his briefcase. Although the little children loved Rey Mysterio, the rest of the crowd obviously did not want to see him as champion.

-- I didn't notice anyone get seriously injured, but an ambulance left the building at the end of the night with lights flashing and what looked like someone strapped to a stretcher. I don't think it was anything serious, but Justin Gabriel did look pretty roughed up after that huge fall in the main event.

-- The crowd was surprisingly hot for Sheamus. Lots of guys were starting Sheamus chants and it almost made the little boy in front of us cry. He was decked out in Cena stuff and even had a (misspelled) Cena sign.

-- The Divas matches looked even worse live. The only person that I semi-enjoyed was Alicia. Even though the crowd was more focused on Daniel Bryan chants than the two women's matches, she worked hard to try and garner some heat. Her finisher also looks really cool in person.

-- The crowd seemed the hottest during the Smackdown MITB match. Matt Hardy, Christian, and Kane were all really over, but I was really surprised by how over Big Show was. People went nuts anytime he even got near the briefcase or the ladders. Maybe it was because he played basketball at nearby Wichita State...? Just kidding.

-- Another note in that match: Christian and Hardy worked together nearly the entire time. It was extremely obvious live when they were on the floor that they were leading the other guys and giving the newer guys hints and pointers on what to do next. They worked almost like a tag team throughout the whole match.

-- After Kane chased Jack Swagger out of the ring, we saw Swagger collapse the second the got backstage. He was motionless behind the set for about five minutes. He finally got about and walked slowly toward the locker rooms.

-- The RKO looks so devastating live and Randy Orton was easily one of the crowd's favorites. As he was walking to the back after his match, the crowd went nuts for him. He was trying not to break character, but he smiled and gave a little wave to our section. I might also add that he is pretty good-looking in person.

Overall, it was a great show and the crowd seemed to have a great time. I hope WWE noticed our enthusiasm and comes back to Kansas/Missouri soon.

Biggest cheers

-- Big Show
-- Randy Orton
-- Kane

Biggest Boos

-- Jack Swagger
-- The Miz
-- Nexus
-- Drew McIntyre
