The following are news and notes from tonight's episode of WWE Raw following the Summerslam PPV last night.

-- Darren Young is out of the Nexus group. WWE set up a series of matches on tonight's Raw where each group member had to win to keep a spot. Young lost his match against John Cena in the main event and was booted from the group.

Other match-ups included Wade Barrett over Chris Jericho clean, Justin Gabriel over Randy Orton via count-out, Heath Slater over Edge via count-out, David Otunga & Skip Sheffield over R-Truth & John Morrison, and Michael Tarver over Daniel Bryan via distraction from The Miz and Alex Riley.

-- The Nexus group now consists of six members: Wade Barrett, Heath Slater, Skip Sheffield, David Otunga, Justin Gabriel, and Michael Tarver.

-- WWE re-named the Unified tag titles as the WWE Tag Titles, reverting to the name of the belts that were formerly on the Smackdown brand. Prior to the unification, the World Tag Titles were on the Raw brand.

As part of WWE re-naming the belts, current tag champions Hart Dynasty were presented with new gold title belts, replacing the two sets of tag belts that represented the Unified tag titles.

-- WWE did not announce any matches for the next PPV, Night of Champions, in September. WWE set in motion a likely re-match for the WWE Title between Sheamus and Randy Orton.

-- WWE did not announce a guest host for next week's Raw. The next scheduled guest hosts are Penn & Teller on the September 20 Raw.
