WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross published a new blog on jrsbarbq.com tonight discussing Raw episode #900 on Monday, Skandor Akbar's funeral earlier this week, and the UFC 118 PPV. It will be a busy three-day period at the TD Garden with UFC on Saturday night and the live Raw on Monday night.

-- Ross detailed the funeral service for Skandor Akbar held on Tuesday in Wichita Falls, Texas and shared more of his thoughts on Akbar following his death last week.

"In my over four decades in the wrestling biz, I don't think I can name one man who unselfishly done more to help young wrestlers and who was more dedicated to his profession that Jim Wehba aka General Scandor Akbar," Ross said.

"Ak passed away suddenly last Thursday at the age of 75 after living a wonderful life doing what he loved more than any thing and that was being a viable and timeless participant in the world of pro wrestling."

-- Ross blogged in-depth on the 900th Raw, sharing numerous stories from his time as the Raw announcer during the Attitude Era, then until 2008 when he was "drafted" to the Smackdown brand.

"I have no idea what will be done on the show to commemorate in some way any of the previous 899 episodes that began in 1993, but I'm sure that the past will be recognized in some manner," Ross said. "I have no fonder memories of working on any TV show than I do of being a part of Monday Night Raw. Especially when the show was live virtually every Monday night and when it went to the two hour format the experience became intoxicating."

Caldwell's Analysis: It's a shame that Ross isn't part of the current announce team with Raw hitting another historic benchmark. It's similar to Ross not calling Shawn Michaels's final career match against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 26.

-- Ross also discussed the UFC 118 PPV and briefly noted he will be traveling to WWE HQ next week to record future installments of the Legends Roundtable discussions that air on WWE Classics-On-Demand. Ross said the Roundtables will include "a very distinguished panel covering two, provocative subjects. More on that when the details are available."
