WWE World Hvt. champion Kane is on the interview circuit this week promoting Sunday night's Night of Champions PPV. The following are highlights from his interview with Brian Fritz of Fanhouse.com.

-- Kane was asked how long he plans to continue wrestling. He left it open-ended as long as he continues to perform at an acceptable level for himself.

"I don't know. As long as I'm still having fun and I'm having a lot of fun right now. Being World champion, that's awesome. Being able to go out and do the mic work that I am right now is a lot of fun," Kane said. "So, it's really just as long as I'm having fun and find it rewarding. As long as I am able to perform at the level that I need to perform at, I'll stick with it."

Part of his longevity has been staying relatively healthy throughout his career. Kane attributed his dependability to receiving this current World Title run and feud with The Undertaker.

"I've been fortunate that I've been able to stay healthy. I haven't gotten hurt a lot. I've proven to be durable which is important and also the fact that I've been able to adapt to the change in times," Kane said. "Just as Undertaker is not the same Undertaker that he was in 1991, Kane is not the same Kane he was in 1997 and that's very important because our business has certainly changed over the years."

-- Kane, who is involved in politics with the Libertarian party, discussed this week's hot topic of independent contractor vs. employee classification. Kane suggested a WWE wrestler was recently offered a choice and turned down employee classification.

"One of the guys, who I'm not going to mention, but he recently had a choice of whether he wanted to be an employee or an independent contractor. He chose to be an independent contractor instead of an employee," Kane said.

Caldwell's Analysis: The change needs to be systematic and across the board, not just the hint of a little change here and there for WWE to go back and say, "Well, we offered wrestler X the choice and he or she turned it down, so obviously the talent don't want it." There has to be a systematic change to how WWE structures contracts, mandatory time off, injury treatment, and employee benefits with wrestlers being asked to put their bodies on the line every night for WWE. The culture and the root issues have to be addressed before it becomes acceptable by everyone in the company.
