The following are news and notes from tonight's WWE Night of Champions PPV from Chicago. WWE's next PPV, Hell in a Cell, is in two weeks.

-- Randy Orton became new WWE champion in the PPV main event Six-Pack Challenge match. Orton captured the WWE Title by pinning incumbent champion Sheamus after Chris Jericho, Edge, John Cena, and Wade Barrett were eliminated. (Orton news report.)

-- Daniel Bryan became new U.S. champion in his first title match in WWE. Bryan captured the U.S. Title from The Miz via submission with the LeBell Lock. (Bryan news report.)

-- Michelle McCool is the new "Unified Divas champion," according to WWE's website, after defeating Divas champion Melina to unify WWE's two women's titles. McCool was defending the Women's Title originally won by Layla. (McCool news report.)

-- Cody Rhodes & Drew McIntyre are the new WWE tag team champions. Rhodes & McIntyre captured the tag titles in a five-team Tag Team Turmoil match. Incumbent WWE tag champions Hart Dynasty were eliminated in the first fall of the match, followed by Santino & Kozlov, the Usos, and Mark Henry & Evan Bourne. (Rhodes & McIntyre news report.)

-- World Hvt. champion Kane retained the World Hvt. Title over The Undertaker in a No Holds Barred match.

-- Intercontinental champion Dolph Ziggler retained the Intercontinental Title over Kofi Kingston.

-- In the only non-title match of the PPV, Big Show went over C.M. Punk. Prior to the match, Punk tried to turn the hometown crowd against him with a scripted heel promo.

-- In the dark match prior to the PPV, John Morrison went over Ted DiBiase, who debuted new music.
