WWE Raw news & notes 11/28

-- WWE champion C.M. Punk retained the WWE Title over Alberto Del Rio in a 16-minute main event. The show concluded with Punk retaining the title and no follow-up angle to set up a match at the TLC PPV in December.

-- Roddy Piper's advertised appearance to host Piper's Pit with John Cena focused on Piper trying to get Cena to acknowledge and hear the audience that boos him. Piper slapped Cena at the end of the segment to "wake him up," but Cena shook it off and left the ring. Also in the segment, Cena said he won't let the boos affect him when he faces The Rock at WrestleMania and vowed to win the match.

-- No matches were announced for TLC. The first match will be made official on Tuesday's live Smackdown episode after the Mark Henry vs. Daniel Bryan World Title match. The winner faces Big Show for the World Title at TLC.

-- Mick Foley made a cameo as "Saint Mick" to promote the holiday-themed live Smackdown episode that Foley will be hosting.

-- Daniel Bryan and Mark Henry had a segment on Raw to promote their World Title steel cage match on the live Smackdown. Big Show did not appear on TV in front of his homestate crowd.

-- Smackdown cameos this week included Bryan, Henry, Randy Orton, and Wade Barrett.

-- John Morrison was written off TV via injury angle at the hands of The Miz, who vowed to keep his streak of "eliminating dead weight" alive on next week's Raw. Last week, Miz took out R-Truth, who was written off TV for his Wellness Policy suspension.

-- There was no mention of the Triple H-Kevin Nash feud that had been dominating Raw storylines prior to this month. Nash is advertised for Raw's tour of Japan that begins Wednesday.

-- Brodus Clay's TV return was pushed back another week. On-air authority figure John Laurinaitis provided a storyline explanation that he's trying to make Clay angrier and angrier with each passing week so he will explode when he returns.

-- A second Mystery Video was "secretly leaked" on Raw pointing to a "second coming" on 1/2/12.

-- WWE openly acknowledged Kane's imminent return in a separate vignette. The text read "KANE RESSURECTED."
