WWE Raw TV news & notes 5/7

-- The big storyline development on Raw was Brock Lesnar "quitting" WWE after Triple H refused to uphold Lesnar's contract agreement on last week's Raw. Lesnar "quitting" was announced by a returning Paul Heyman, who played the role of Lesnar's legal representation.

Triple H did not appear on Raw, as he was selling fictional injuries caused by Lesnar on last week's Raw. The latest development this week continues to link Lesnar and Hunter together ahead of a future big match and also allows both men to stay off TV while staying in the forefront of WWE storylines.

-- Announced for next week's Raw is Triple H returning live on Raw to address the situation with Lesnar. Next week's Raw will also feature final hype for the Over the Limit PPV.

-- John Cena did not appear in the flesh during the Raw broadcast. Cena, who appeared "via satellite" for an interview, revealed that he recommended to the fictional Board of Directors that heel authority figure John Laurinaitis not be fired until after Over the Limit when he gets his hands on Laurinaitis.

-- WWE changed the Smackdown World Title match at the PPV to Sheamus vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. Chris Jericho vs. Randy Orton in a fatal four-way match. Smackdown's two top faces, Sheamus and Orton, came to blows after Sheamus accidentally Brogue-kicked Orton during their tag match loss to Del Rio & Jericho.

-- WWE did not run any ads for this week's Smackdown episode during Raw.

-- WWE briefly promoted John Cena's episode of "Dream Machines" that airs Tuesday night on Syfy and will replay Friday night after Smackdown.
