A study of today's WWE and TNA payscales indicates the tip-top stars, including part-timers and Attitude Era stars, are worth millions of dollars, whereas mid-card stars & below are not close to the seven-figure range.

This is the findings of a website, Celebrity Net Worth , evaluating the Net Worth of the Top 28 wrestling stars. The list is based on the following criteria: "All publicly available information including salaries, real estate holdings, divorces, record sales, royalties, and endorsements. The final net worths come from a formula that takes out taxes, manager’s fees, agents’s fees, and lifestyle."

"The Rock" Dwayne Johnson, who Forbes reported earned $36 million between May 2011 and May 2012 mainly due to successful movies, was the top-ranked wrestler on the list with a reported Net Worth of $70 million. Next was "Stone Cold" Steve Austin with $45 million. John Cena took third with $35 million.

Cena topped the list of current, full-time WWE wrestlers who make up the top percentile of WWE salaries. Full-time stars joining Cena on the list were Big Show (#4), Rey Mysterio (#18), C.M. Punk (#20), Randy Orton (#22), Alberto Del Rio (#23), and The Miz (#26).

Also of note is Kevin Nash's Net Worth of $8.0 million ranks just ahead of C.M. Punk's Net Worth of $7.5 million. The list of the Top 28 breaks down in the following ways:

- Current full-time TNA wrestlers: None.

- Current part-time TNA wrestlers: Kurt Angle (#6 - $20 mill.), Sting (#13 - $13.0 mill.), and Hulk Hogan (#24 - $5.0 million resulting in loss of $25 million from divorce settlement).
