SUPERSTARS HITS

Santino_130GG_4.jpg
Santino Marella: Santino hasn't had much opportunity to show off his comedy lately and I was glad to see him get a chance to do so this week. His promo trying to convince Vladimir Kozlov to join him was hilarious. Sometimes his comedy can be hit or miss, and usually it has more hits than misses, but still a few. This one was pretty much right on from touting reading a book on martial arts three times, to trying to start a "U-S-A" chant in Canada, to demonstrating how fast he can punch with great sound effects.

Ziggler vs. Christian: This was a good main event. We saw Dolph Ziggler help elevate Chris Masters to quite a good match last week (this week, Cody Rhodes wasn't quite able to do the same, but their match was solid). This week, Ziggler once again found himself in the main event of Superstars and once again he delivered a good match, this time with Christian. Obviously, this was not at the level of Christian's match against Edge on Raw, but it was his second good match of the week. It was pretty basic, but Ziggler and Christian worked well together and got a good amount of time in 10 minutes to put on a good match. Ziggler has a ton of potential. It will be interesting to see which mid-card heel on Smackdown is the next to be elevated. Ziggler has a good chance to be that guy.

SUPERSTARS MISSES

Blood Check: I just hate this new rule in WWE. I have complained about it and given it a Miss every time they've done it. I don't want to sound like a broken record, but I have to express how much I dislike having the moment of a match totally ruined like this. I give William Regal credit for doing a nice job of playing to the crowd during the delay as the medic checked on Goldust. However, he shouldn't have had to fill time like that. The rest of the match was good, but short. The shorter length really stood out considering the time lost for the blood check.
