Steve the Hustler was shown inside the ring addressing the rappers, who were surrounding the ring. He told them it’s all about the body. He said a lot of bodies had stacked up in UWF so far. Steve said if people were being killed, it couldn’t be personal and it had to be about the money.

Grim Reefer was backstage when he was confronted by Joker and D.J. Self. Self told Reefer his money was short. Joker got in his face and told Reefer to tell his boss to get the money. Reefer said he’s not a rapper, he’s a fighter. Reefer told them to “Get the f—k out of here.

Young Breed was backstage with Torch and Facade. Breed had the UWF Title on the table in front of him. Kage and LEP Bogus Boys were also shown backstage. LEP Bogus Boys yelled at the Phat Pack. They then told Kage they were going to let him do his thing tonight. They showed Joker and Self, who said they were getting the f—k out of here. Young Breed, Torch, and Facade talked about making big money. Torch had the UWF Championship in front of him. He pointed to the title and said it gave them control over all of the cities.

The Phat Pack was shown backstage talking to Kage. He told them if he doesn’t get the job done, Chicago can whip his a--. Phat Pack told him to get out of their faces and threatened to beat him up right now.

Larry the Legend introduced the show from the ring. Facade was out first with the Triple C’s. The announcers said Facade had been beaten into the gang and was now a member of Triple C’s. D.J. Self was out next with his lady and Joker representing New York. The announcer said Joker is an assassin. Grim Reefer was out next representing Atlanta. The announcers said you can’t take him lightly. Out last was L.E.P. Bogus Boys with Cage representing Chicago. The announcers said a s—tload of money is on the line here.

1 - - FACADE (w/Triple C’s) vs. JOKER (w/D.J. Self) vs. GRIM REEFER vs. CAGE (w/L.E.P. BOGUS BOYS)

The match started with all four men in the ring at the same time. Joker tossed Reefer to the outside right away. The announcers said everyone has beef. Facade tied up Joker in a leg submission. Reefer tried to break it up, but Facade nailed him with a suplex while holding onto the submission on Joker. Kage wiped out Joker with the double knees to the stomach. Kage and Reefer went at it, but Facade wiped them out with a springboard flip into the ring. Facade hit another springboard moonsault moments later to take out Kage and Reefer, but Joker sent him to the outside with a dropkick.

Reefer walked the ropes and went for a swanton on Joker, but he got out of the way. The announcers said there are no rope breaks for submissions in UWF. All four men did a tower of doom suplex spot and everyone was down as the crowd applauded. The action continued at a rapid pace with some spectacular moves. Kage went to town on Reefer with some chops as Smokes said he’s trying to make a name for himself. Reefer eventually wiped him out with a spinning kick. Reefer hit a neckbreaker over the top rope on Kage. Joker teased hitting a double dive with Facade, but then wiped him out with a clothesline. Joker then took out Kage with a dive through the ropes. Facade recovered and went for a dive, but Reefer cut him off with a clothesline. Reefer then jumped off the top turnbuckle, hit the rope and hit a dive to the outside.

Facade walked the second the rope, climbed up to the top rope and hit an insane twisting dive to the outside to take out everyone. The Triple C’s were shown smiling at ringside. Smokes said the only color that matters is green in the UWF. Facade hit a springboard bulldog on Kage, but he kicked out at the last second. Reefer and Joker brawled to the outside of Club Amnesia. Joker hit a huge running knee on Reefer and pinned him. The ref on the outside was shown declaring Joker the winner. One of the announcer said, “He got f---ed up on that one” on Reefer’s condition. Back inside the building, Facade pinned cage with a modified piledriver. The ref inside the ring declared Facade the winner.

WINNER: No Contest due to split referee decision – The action was good throughout with Reefer and Façade pulling off some spectacular moves. Joker going after Reefer and pinning him made sense since Reefer owes Joker’s rapper some money.

Joker and Self got up on the apron to protest. The two refs argued about who the winner was. Joker got the first pin, so he should be the winner. Triple C’s got into the ring and argued with each other. The ref decided to have Façade and Joker go one-on-one.

2 - - JOKER vs. FACADE

Joker and Facade went blow-for-blow in the middle of the ring. Facade fired back on Joker and hit a springboard enzuguri as Smokes went nuts on commentary. Facade missed a kick and Joker nailed him with a leg-capture suplex. “Oh, S—t, I think he broke his neck,” said Smokes. Joker went and got a chair. Facade managed to sneak up on Joker from behind and nailed him with a missile dropkick that connected on the chair Joker was holding for a nearfall. Facade went for the triple jump moonsault, but missed. Joker then nailed Facade with a huge running knee, but Facade used the ropes to pull himself out of the ring.

Joker set up a table outside the ring and went back to work on Facade. They battled up top, but Joker got knocked to the apron. Facade then walked the ropes and nailed a jumping bulldog on Joker off the apron and through a table for the pin.

Winner: Facade – This was really good while it lasted. Facade pulled off some spectacular maneuvers here and looked really good defeating Joker.

The announcers were shown at ringside. Julius Smokes was checking his cell phone. Shawn Credle introduced Robbie Mireno and Julius Smokes. Credle said tonight the new UWF Champion Slymm would defend his title tonight. Mireno said Mayback Music was on a mission in UWF. Smokes said he couldn’t believe the match he just saw.

Steve Mack was shown outside talking to Joker. Mack said he was done with Florida. Mack said he’s now a New York guy. Jeez was shown backstage harassing a girl. Billy Blue came in and got mad because it was his girl. Mack and Joker were shown talking outside again. Jeez and Blue were shown talking. Blue told him to get away from his girl. Mack and the man Joker were shown talking again. Joker told him he’d give him some money and Mack got really excited about teaming with Joker’s crew. Credle mentioned people could get a free copy of the UWF Mix Tape online.

D.J. Self came to the ring with Steve Mack and Joker. The announcers said Mack and been jumped out of his crew. Jeez was out next to face Mack. Jeez asked if Mack remembered when he f---ed his b—ch. Billy Blue then came out with his girl.

3 - - JEEZ (w/Billy Blue) vs. STEVE MACK (w/D.J. Self & Joker)

The announcers said Mack had been jumped out of Billy Blue’s crew on the last show. Jeez took control early with a running dropkick. Mack fired back a short time later with a backdrop. Smokes said this issue had all started over a woman. Mack hit an overhead throw on Jeez, who rolled to the outside. Mack set up for a dive, but Jeez ran into the ring and tossed a chair at him for a 2 count. Jeez continued to work over Mack, but his strikes didn’t have much of an impact. Jeez slapped Mack in the face. Mack fired back with two slaps of his own. Mack finally hit a big slap that took Jeez down. Jeez fired back and hit a tornado DDT.

Jeez put the boots to Mack and then choked him against the ropes. The announcers couldn’t believe Mack was going through all of this over a woman. Mack went for a kick, but Jeez caught his foot, gave it to the ref, and kicked Mack low. Jeez set up a chair on Mack’s chest and hit a big splash, but Mack kicked out at the last second. Jeez nailed Mack across the back with a chair, but he shook it out. Mack hit another chairshot to the back and Mack got up yelling at Jeez. Mack ducked a chairshot and ran wild on Jeez. Mack then hit a big powerslam, but Jeez kicked out. Jeez slipped out of a slam and nailed Mack with the double knees in the corner. Jeez followed up with a missile dropkick, but Mack kicked out. The announcers yelled at Mack to get his fat a—up and fight. Jeez went up top again, but Mack cut him off. Mack came up bleeding after a headbutt from Jeez. Mack ran into a boot from Jeez. Jeez then hit a code red off the second rope. Jeez made the cover, but Joker got up on the apron. Jeez got up to confront Joker, who spit in his face. Mack then hit a jumping piledriver on Jeez from behind for the pin.

Winner: Steve Mack – good action throughout and the announcers were hilarious on commentary. The crowd seems too quiet and they definitely should have done a better job of pumping up the audience since this was an invitation-only taping.

Self, Mack, and Joker celebrating before heading to the back. Jeez was slow to recover, but eventually went to the back with Blue. Blue yelled at Jeez to handle his business better next time.

Cuban Link was shown outside telling someone he had a proposition. The camera panned over and showed Dameon Slugga. Link told them they could work together against and make some big money. Slugga said if the paper is right, he’d roll with Link.

Slymm was shown backstage with Triple C’s. He was holding the UWF Championship. Beast Ortiz then came into the camera and told Slymm the title was his. Slymm smiled at him. Triple C’s said their money stacked all day. Slymm said Ortiz didn’t want any of him and held up the title.

Shawn Credle it was time for the main event with Slymm defending the title against Beast Ortiz. Mireno and Smokes said the deck was stacked against Ortiz. Smokes said one of these men would take a prominent position in UWF. Credible asked if Triple C’s could keep the UWF Championship in their stable. Mireno asked how Smokes would react when Ortiz won the title. Smokes said he’d cry, but it is what it is. Mireno got mad after Smokes said that the cheese would be put on a cracker. Mireno got mad and told Smokes he’s not a punk a—white boy. Smokes asked someone off camera what was going on. Mireno then jumped Smokes. Smokes fired back with a punch. Security then separated them separated them. Mireno said he’s no punk a—white boy.

Smokes reacted like anyone would and began counting his money. The UWF office tried to calm him down, including Kevin Kleinrock and Steve O’Neal. Smokes yelled about the attack from Mireno, but eventually settled down. Smokes got back up out of his seat, but Credle brought him back to the table. Mack came out to check on Smokes. Smokes said he doesn’t lose fights. Steve O’Neal made sure Smokes was alright.

Brisco was out first Beast Ortiz. Credle tried to get Smokes to focus on the main event. Gunplay of Triple C’s came out with Slymm. Gunplay held up the UWF Championship to the camera at ringside.

Larry Legend did the formal ring introductions. Slymm drew some boos when he was introduced.

4 - - UWF Champion SLYMM (w/Brisco) vs. BEAST ORTIZ (w/Gunplay) – UWF Title match

Ortiz said the time was talking was over. Slymm slapped Ortiz in the face and laughed at him. Ortiz drove Slymm in the corner and nailed him with a hard slap. Smokes was still complaining about what had happened to him. Smokes said he wasn’t being racist with his comments earlier. Credle said Ortiz had a background of wrestling, MMA, and business on the street. Ortiz grounded Slymm and sent him packing to the outside. Both men brawled on the outside. He called Mireno a Judas. Smokes said he knew he wasn’t being professional right now, but it was because he had been disrespected. Slymm fired back on Ortiz on the outside and dragged a table out from under the ring and set it up against the ringpost.

Slymm went after Ortiz with a broom handle. He then choked Ortiz with a strap. Smokes said he wants his money so he can get out of there. Ortiz fired back with some forearms and landed several knees in the corner. Smokes continued to complain about Mireno. Ortiz went to the outside and got the table. Ortiz set it up on the apron and the guardrail. Smokes went nuts saying Ortiz was going to take out Slymm tonight. Slymm caught Ortiz by surprise with a big slam. Ortiz caught Slymm with an arm bar, but Slymm forced him to let go with some big strikes. Smokes was shown counting his money at ringside. Both men then hit clotheslines at the same time. Smokes apologized for being unprofessional and he blamed security for letting it happen. Credle agreed that Mireno’s attack was unprofessional. Smokes said he didn’t have a racist bone in his body.

Both men ended up brawling near the apron. Smokes said someone had to get ignorant in the ring to win the match. Slymm countered a suplex on the apron and ended up hitting a sloppy suplex on Ortiz back inside the ring. Ortiz and Slymm went back and forth inside the ring. Slymm went up top and caught Ortiz with a moonsault for a 2 count. That surprised me. Ortiz choked Slymm and dragged him towards the table. Ortiz snapped Slymm’s neck over the top rope and tried to bring him up top. Ortiz landed several blows, but Slymm tossed the ref into Ortiz. Slymm nailed a big strike to Ortiz’s throat and slammed him off the top through the table. Slymm then covered Ortiz for the win.

Winner: Slymm to retain the UWF Championship for Triple C’s – The match was slow and clunky in spots. They relied on a lot of gimmicks, which was disappointing since Ortiz has proven he can put on good performances in the ring. The angle with Smokes and Mireno overshadowed the match, but they did a good job creating an atmosphere of tension between Smokes and Mireno.

Gunplay ran into the ring and put the title around his own waist. Smokes said the wrong white boy had jumped him.

A woman was shown in a car telling a man she wasn’t in the mood to do anything with him. It was Billy Blue’s woman in the car, but it was hard to tell who the man was. A man in a hood jumped the man in the car. The man in the hood tossed the man out of the car. The woman asked to be let out, but the man got in the car and told her to shut the f—up. The woman was let out of the car.

Two men were shown in hoods. They tossed some guns off a bridge and into a river and ran away.

Overall thoughts: This was a much better show than the last one. They cut back on the amount of backstage skits and most of the show made sense this time around. The only thing the show could have done a better job of was they could have had the announcers set the stage for the main event and explain that Triple C’s were holding the UWF Championship and using Slymm as their representative in the ring. It was odd that right at the beginning of the show they announced Slymm was defending the title tonight, but the match wasn’t announced until later in the show with a backstage segment. I get that UWF is different, but solid wrestling fundamentals should hold at least some precedent when it comes to a main event on a PPV.

I liked how the conversation between Reefer and Joker led to a confrontation between those two in the Four-Way opener. The Four-Way portion of the match was crazy with lots of fun exchanges between all four men. Facade was definitely the in-ring MVP tonight hitting some jaw-dropping maneuvers while walking the ropes. I liked how the match wasn’t just thrown out when one ref counted Joker’s pin outside the venue while another counted Facade’s win inside the ring. I hate when things don’t get settled and Facade and Joker delivered a fun one-on-one encounter.

The beef between Mack and Billy Blue’s crew continued and the announcers were hilarious talking about how Jeez and Mack were feuding over a woman. The commentary in UWF can be really funny at times and that was the case during this match. The match itself was solid and featured some good big man vs. small man action.

UWF at times has done some really nice things in terms of creating a chaotic atmosphere on their PPVs. There was a great brawl on their PPV back in November that went all over Hammerstein and was shot with a few different cameras. This time around they created some real tension between announcers Julius Smokes and Robbie Mireno over what Mireno felt was a racist comment from Smokes. This stood apart from other angles on the show because it felt more real. The other backstage segments were fine, but a lot of the rappers are hard to understand. Smokes and Mireno did a good job in their role and it felt authentic.

The main event was a letdown. Slymm didn’t look great in the ring and the style of match they fought didn’t allow Beast Ortiz to show what a monster he is in the ring except for some flashes of hard-hitting action here and there. I thought Slymm would be a good opponent for Ortiz given his size, but this was more of a brawl using props as opposed to a hard-hitting contest.

There were a couple of hooks before the end of the show with an unidentified man driving around with Billy Blue’s girl in a car before he got carjacked. There was also a shot of two men tossing a gun into the river to end the show. I’m presuming they are the ones that shot Rasche Brown last time.

This was a fun hour of wrestling. The matches were all good for the most part. The Smokes-Mireno confrontation was well done, so if you’re into this genre of wrestling, it’s worth checking out. One thing UWF should do next time is do something to heat up the crowd in attendance. The fans reacted to some of the action, but for an invite-only crowd, these people should have been red hot.
