James Caldwell, Torch Assistant Editor (6.0)

This wasn't a particularly memorable or strong episode of Superstars, but it was overall a good hour of TV wrestling with four solid matches. Superstars usually has one or two standout matches, but the matches before the main event weren't given enough time to be standout affairs. Plus, the main event of Christian vs. Chavo was turned into a handicap match that was more focused on Vickie Guerrero than the in-ring action. At least Dolph Ziggler seems to be in a position to be elevated being paired with the "heat magnet" Vickie. I just hope it doesn't go the opposite way and Dolph ends up in a worse position than pre-Vickie. Dolph's talents are desperately needed on a thin Smackdown roster.

Mark Henry vs. Primo was a basic opening match designed to showcase Henry in front of an appreciative crowd. There was nothing wrong with it and simply started the show off on a positive note. Gail Kim vs. Jillian was a refreshing Divas match with Jillian able to showcase her in-ring skills rather than all of the attention on her one-note gimmick. Meanwhile, Gail seems to be treading water waiting for a spot to open up in the Divas division on Raw. From Smackdown, the McCool vs. Tiffany match accomplished the goal of getting over McCool. There wasn't much to it; just basic reinforcement of the Lay-Cool heel tandem.

Jon Mezzera, PWTorch.com Contributor (7.0)

This was a good episode of Superstars. It had two solid matches that were little more than squashes. Mark Henry vs. Primo started the show and was fine for what it was. Michelle McCool vs. Tiffany was the second Divas match on the show, and while it wasn't as good as the first, it was a good strong win for one half of the Divas Champion, McCool. I am really enjoying LayCool's gimmick, and Layla got in a really good line at ring side when she said she felt sorry for Tiffany during the match.

The first Divas match of the show was Gail Kim vs. Jillian Hall. This was a good five-minute match. I am always happy to see the Divas getting longer matches on Superstars than they ever do on Raw. Kim and Hall delivered well here. I also enjoyed the advancement of the Vickie Guerrero-Dolph Ziggler angle, particularly how Chavo Guerrero looking on disapprovingly as Vickie flirted with Dolph. The main event turned into a nice handicap match with Ziggler & Guerrero getting the win over Christian, who still looked good despite taking the loss.

Greg Parks, Torch Columnist (6.0)

This episode of Superstars had the rare angle advancement incorporated into it, with the Vickie/Chavo/Ziggler triangle. Usually, the matches on this show just stand alone and don't necessarily reflect any feuds or angles happening on the two main shows, so it was a breath of fresh air to see something relevant happening. Also, a good win for Chavo and Ziggler, even though it was two-on-one.

Both Divas matches were serviceable, and while I haven't been high on Jillian in the ring in the past, she did well here with Kim. The Divas roster on Smackdown seems a bit thinner than on Raw. I'm hoping Primo's cousin gets called up from developmental soon, as he's being wasted back in this JTTS role. I was hoping he and Carlito would get pushed as a tag team, but maybe they can re-charge things by calling up Orlando.
