Springfield, Mass.
Report by VIP member Jason Remillard

The Cena Tour rolled through the MassMutual Center in Springfield on Saturday night. Except for the side that was blocked off for the Tron/ramp, I would say the place was about 85-90 percent full (maybe 4,500 attendance).

(1) Sin Cara pinned Heath Slater with the Swanton bomb. Decent match; Slater knows how to draw heat. Afterward, he grabbed the mic and said he needed to start a new winning streak. So, he called out anyone in the back.

(1a) Great Khali pinned Slater after the chop to the head.

(2) Mark Henry pinned Cesaro with the World's Strongest Slam after escaping a Neutralizer attempt. Henry is a great babyface.

(3) Divas champion Paige beat Natalya in a submission match. It was a Fan's Choice for the stipulation. Submission match "won" over 2-out-of-3 falls. Very good match with Sharpshooter attempts from both women. Paige ultimately prevailed with the Scorpion Cross Lock.

(4) WWE tag champs The Usos & Big Show (Ushow?) beat the Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper & Erick Rowan) in a six-man tag match after Show hit the WMD on Luke Harper, who was sporting an eye patch. The finish came after the Flying Usos took out Bray and Rowan with a through-the-ropes dive.

[Intermission]

(5) NXT champion Adrian Neville pinned Tyler Breeze with the Red Arrow to retain the NXT Championship. Breeze came out and called the fans back in from intermission ... so they could look at him. (Miz needs to learn from Breeze how to do the pretty boy thing.)

After the match, the ref handed Breeze his phone back, and he immediately started taking selfies while flat on his back (hilarious). Neville stole the phone and took a selfie with the referee. Awesome match.

(6) Goldust & Stardust beat Big E. & Kofi Kingston (w/Xavier Woods). Probably match of the night along with NXT match. Kofi hit Trouble in Paradise on Goldust, but turned around and walked into Stardust's new reverse Russian legsweep finisher. My problem with this match was the crowd. The Dust Brothers are clearly heels on TV, but their act is still so entertaining that they get tons of cheers. Xavier Woods played the babyface manager, which I think would work with Big E. and Kofi.

(7) John Cena pinned Kane in a Street Fight with an Attitude Adjustment through a table. Fun little brawl saw Cena fail to hoist Kane up on two or three earlier AA attempts before finally prevailing. Chairs and ring steps were also heavily involved.

Overall, a better show than I expected. I did not know the NXT Title would be defended.

Pops: (1) Cena (he went to college here), (2) hot tag to Big Show in the six-man tag, (3) Natalya, (4) Usos.

Heat: (1) Slater, (2) Cesaro, (3) Breeze, (4) Kane.

T-shirts: Lesnar (Eat Sleep Conquer Cena), red Cena, Reigns, Wyatts, Usos, Paige, Daniel Bryan.
