WEEKEND RESULTS, NEWS & NOTES
Josh Daniels won the 2007 “Shane Shamrock Memorial Cup” in Maryland Championship Wrestling on Sunday, outlasting an outstanding field that included Christopher Daniels, Delirious Sonjay Dutt, and Ruckus. Daniels was congratulated afterward by Chris Jericho, who was at the show in a non-wrestling role. Details of the show are posted below.
In the other big indy show of the weekend, Samoa Joe defeated Ray Rowe in IWC in suburban Pittsburgh. Also on the show, Fabulous John McChesney defeated Larry Sweeney to win the Super Indy title, and McChesney joined the top heel faction, The Unholy Alliance. Samoa Joe defeated Rhino in NWA Birmingham on Friday in Irondale, Alabama. Former WWE wrestler Bull Buchanan wrestled on the show, as did Sonjay Dutt and Elix Skipper.
Bill Behrens with NWA is reporting that Joey Ryan Karl Anderson won the three-team tag match, defeating Sean Waltman & Billy Kidman and Incognito & Sicodelico Jr., to because the new NWA world tag team champions, in McAllen, Texas.

Rikishi and Traci Brooks will debut for EWF in Marion, Ind., on Aug. 18.
