WEEKEND RESULTS, NEWS & NOTES

This was an incredibly busy weekend for indy wrestling, with PWG, IWC, Chikara Pro, CZW and many more promotions all running.

Pro Wrestling Guerrilla held its DDT4 Tag tournament over the weekend. In the finals, Roderick Strong & Jack Evans defeated El Generico & Kevin Steen to win the vacant tag titles.

Jerry Lynn defeated Larry Sweeney in the main event of the IWC show Saturday in suburban Pittsburgh. Results are below.

Pepper Parks won a three-way over A.J. Styles and Ricky Reyes in NWA Upstate. In the main event, former ECW wrestler Danny Doring defeated Jimmy Olsen in a cage match.

Matt “Spike Dudley” Hyson, Nikolai Volkoff and the Blue Meanie wrestled Saturday for National Wrestling Superstars in Jackson, N.J. Results are below.

Abyss defeated Balls Mahoney in a no-DQ match on Saturday in front of 500 fans for Pro Wrestling Syndicate in Queens, N.Y. Also on the show, Greg “The Hammer” Valentine defeated Brutus “the Barber” Beefcake. Results are below.

Danny Havoc won the CZW “Tournament of Death” on Saturday as well.

Chris Masters will head to Pro Wrestling Unplugged in Philadelphia on July 26th, where he will face Trent Acid.

He hosted the weekly Pro Wrestling Focus radio show on KFAN in the early 1990s and hosted the Ultimate Insiders DVD series distributed in retail stories internationally in the mid-2000s including interviews filmed in Los Angeles with Vince Russo & Ed Ferrara and Matt & Jeff Hardy.
