- Action Figure Spotlight #41: Austin Aries Jakks-Pacific TNA Deluxe Impact
- Originally released: 2012
- What you can expect to pay: $19.99
- Recent sales: N/A

More than a decade after wrestling his first match, Austin Aries finally has his own action figure.
Ringside Collectibles announced earlier this summer that it would be offering an exclusive Aries toy from Jakks-Pacific’s TNA Deluxe Impact line. The Aries toy is now available exclusively at ringsidecollectibles.com.

The new figure has Aries in black trunks with a removable pink cape and the X Division Title belt. The hot pink packaging for this item is especially cool. The back of the package features a window cut in the shape of Aries’s arm tattoo that allows collectors to see the back of the figure without removing the toy from the package.

Ringside Collectibles is charging $19.99 for the toy, which is a little less than many other exclusive figures. A new Jeff Hardy figure planned for this winter from Ringside Collectibles, for example, will be $22.99, and Mattel is charging $30 each for its Internet-exclusive WWE Legends figures.

Some of the figures sold exclusively through sites like Ringside Collectibles often spike in value, while others remain flat or even drop in value. A special Matt and Jeff Hardy two-pack from 2009 sold exclusively through Ringside Collectibles originally retailed for $34.99, and today that item usually sells for $125-$150. On the other hand, Ringside Collectibles is still offering Internet-exclusive figures of Sunny and Sherri Martel from several years ago.

Since this is Aries’s first figure, it will likely appeal to a lot of audiences: toy collectors, independent wrestling fans, kids, and more. If Jakks doesn’t crank out dozens of Aries figures over the next few years, this has the potential to remain a pretty popular figure.

Pictures, videos, and details on how to order the figure are available online at RingsideCollectibles.com .

Collectibles News

New TNA toys have been few and far between over the last year, but Jakks has offered more toys in recent months. The seventh series of Deluxe Impact figures was released earlier this summer, and last week Jakks announced the lineup for its eighth series.

Unfortunately, the eighth series consists entirely of wrestlers who have other toys available from Jakks: Matt Morgan, A.J. Styles, Rob Van Dam, Hulk Hogan, and Sting. The Sting toy will probably the most popular of the bunch, as it is the first toy to capture his Joker look that he debuted in 2011. The other figures are all similar to older toys, although the Styles figure is the first featuring the large tattoo on his mid-section. Deluxe Impact Series 8 is scheduled for an October release.

Ringside Collectibles is also offering fans a cool new exclusive Jeff Hardy toy. The figure has a new head scan of Hardy, with a removable cloth shirt and a horned mask. The packaging is shaped to resemble the same mask. The figure is being sold for $22.99 with a targeted release date of early December. Pictures and more information can be found at RingsideCollectibles.com .

Collectors who have been waiting for new wrestling cards will have their hands full over the next month. TRISTAR just released its latest TNA product, TNA TENacious, which celebrates the company’s ten-year anniversary. Topps will offer up its next WWE product in September, and the Leaf Originals Wrestling set should be out soon.
