(1) Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, A.J. Styles steal the show on PPV. One month after Samoa Joe, and A.J. Styles stole the show on the August TNA PPV, they were joined by Christopher Daniels and one–upped their performance with a 23-minute classic and sure–fire match of the year contender Sunday at TNA’s Unbreakable PPV. Styles pinned Daniels in the end, capturing the X DivisionTitle. Samoa Joe also kept his undefeated streak in tact since technically he didn’t get pinned, DQ’d, or submit.
A group of officials from Spike TV attended the event in person and were said to be riveted by the match and the crowd response to the match. “They were marking out for the show,” says one TNA wrestler. “Look at what they’re used to seeing (from WWE). That match blew away anything they had seen before. ”During the match, the crowd at Universal Studios chanted, “This is awesome!” “A.J.’s Awesome!” “Holy sh––!” and other superlatives throughout the match. It was the first of TNA’s major three–hour PPVs that headlined with an X Division match. The World Hvt. Title match, featuring Raven retaining against Rhino, was on second–to–last.
